Finnish symphonic metallers Nightwish have just revealed the cover artwork and more details about their upcoming new live DVD. Showtime, Storytime contains the entire Nightwish headliner show, played at this years' Wacken Open Air, the world's biggest heavy metal festival, with Floor Jansen fronting the band. The live show in front of 85 000 metalheads was directed by Ville Lipiäinen, filmed with seventeen cameras and has a total duration of 85 minutes.

In a recent interview with Alcatraz Metal Fest where they performed, Nightwish's main man Tuomas Holopainen stated a few new updates and info about the future for the band. During this summer, three new songs were written and Holopainen will continue writing more songs after he has finished his solo soundtrack album (The Life and Times Of Scrooge McDuck) due in October and after a few months break. The group will then enter the studio in July 2014, which they have already booked until September 2014. In the meantime, the rest of the band will spend time with their other projects (Tarot, ReVamp, Brother Firetribe).

With just three shows left before they wrap up their Imaginaerum World Tour, Nightwish have just confirmed that the their show at Wacken on August 3rd will be special and will be filmed for a DVD/Blu-ray to be released later this year. The band will then document and immortalize their current line-up with touring singer Floor Jansen.

It has been announced that the long-awaited Nightwish movie Imaginaerum will have its German premiere at the "Kino in der KulturBrauerei" in Berlin, on February 11th, 2013. The screening in German cinemas will start on March 18th. Tickets are now also available online through this link. Also, please note that the language of the movie is English. Imaginaerum premiered in Finland in November and you can watch the trailer at this location.

Nightwish have recently performed a special showcase on November 10th at the Hartwall Arena in Helsinki on the night of the Imaginaerum world premiere, featuring vocalist Floor Jansen (ReVamp, ex-After Forever), who stepped in during their US tour. This special edition will contain two CDs and one DVD in a slipcase digibook. Additionally, there will be a 2LP release of the orchestral version on black or crystal vinyl in a gatefold. This orchestral version is new and not the instrumental mix found on the initial Imaginaerum 2CD releases.

The contest ends on April 10th. The aim is to make a video and then upload it to YouTube.
