Gorgoroth - Team Up With Vader For Euro Tour; Album Release Delayed

Gorgoroth and Vader will team up for The Sign Of Hell Tour 2011, destroying cities all over Europe later this year. The European trek, which will include over 45 shows, will kick off at the end of October and conclude right before Christmas. Dates to be announced soon.

According to Polish concert promoter and management company Massive Music, "such a long and immense tour hasn't been seen in Europe so far ? all fans of Gorgoroth and Vader should start preparing for a magnificent feast!

It is a completely one-off occasion as both bands will promote their newest albums and they've already announced new concert sets. Gorgoroth will play some of their material from Under The Sign Of Hell released by Regain Records and Vader will present the new songs from Welcome To The Morbid Reich released by Nuclear Blast.

The tour will be joined by additional two or three bands. More information on this event soon!"

In other news, the release date of that upcoming Gorgoroth re-recording, Under The Sign Of Hell 2011, has been pushed back to August 29 from the previously announced June 20 due to "manufacturing problems."

The re-recorded version of the LP features vocalist Pest and guitarist/bassist Infernus, from the original 1996 recording, while Tomas Asklund (ex-Dark Funeral, ex-Dissection) handles the drums.

Vader - New Bassist And Drummer Announced

Vader have recently parted ways with former Christ Agony bassist Tomasz "Reyash" Rejek. Due to "family matters," also drummer Pawel "Paul" Jaroszewicz will leave the band. However, he'll still be laying down tracks for the band's new album, Welcome To The Morbid Reich, and taking part in the group's already confirmed concerts in summer.

Mariusz Kmiołek from Massive Music Management released the following statement on behalf of the band: "New musicians, some changes and, hopefully, new great news - hence the new opening in the band. The beginning of the year was marked with Peter's decision about line-up reshuffle - he thanked Reyash for two-years' cooperation. The band and Reyash parted their ways because the latter recently failed on many fields. The main reason for this news is also his statement about reasons for leaving the band which are not true.

Here's Peter's explanation on the situation: "Hail to all Vadermaniax!!! I decided to write this - a little bit untimely - news to correct Reyash's official stance on leaving the band on Blabbermouth. I decided to thank Reyash for over two-year's cooperation in January 2011 and it was solely my decision. The decision was made on his recent behaviour only and definitely not due to his "personal reasons". Reyash is a great mate but this isn't enough to be the part of Vader. What's funny is that my expectations are really not that high as it might seem from the personal changes in the band throughout the recent years. Vader is appreciated by you just because of us keeping the style, sincerity and quality regardless the so-called public opinion. Reyash knew that he was to play till the end of the season (promotion of Necropolis) and his staying in the band depended exclusively on his work during the past two years. I can't understand his trying to give a good account of himself in this situation, the more so because it is insincere. Nevertheless, me and all people contributing to the presence of Vader Commando wish Reyash success, all the best and satisfaction from his work! One should keep good memories only. We're also glad that after Reyash's official statement appeared, we were contacted by lots of bass players willing to join the band, most of them from abroad. However, the decision about who will replace Tomek was made a few weeks ago. We invited Hal (Hermh, Dead Infection, Abused Majesty). This line-up will be seen on stage since April."

Vader - Have Entered The Studio

Polish death metal veterans Vader have entered Hertz Studio in Bialystok, Poland to begin recording their new album, Welcome To The Morbid Reich.

As previously reported, the band will be laying down a total of 12 or 13 songs for the CD, which will be mixed and mastered in May for a tentative late 2011 release. Working song titles set to appear on the effort include "Lords of Thorns", "I Am Who Feast Upon Your Souls", "Only Hell Knows", "Return to the Morbid Reich" and "I Had A Dream".

Commented the group: "We started new recordings in Hertz Studios in Bialystok. We spent the whole afternoon being setting up drum kit, testing new skins and cymbals. There was also time to familiarize with new architecture of lately much rebuilded studio.

We plan to record nine-ten fresh songs and three bonus pieces: redux of one old Vader classic (which is gonna be added to the refreshed live set for summer) and two cover songs (those will be kinda surprise for many for sure). Spider also prepared few songs for the record and this will be his debut in Vader as a composer."

Vader will debut one or two tracks from Welcome To The Morbid Reich during the band's summer festival appearances.

Vader - Bassist Quits The Band

Bassist Tomasz "Reyash" Rejek has left Polish death metal band Vader.

Reyash's statement on the matter reads as follows: "After over two years of cooperation, I've decided to quit Vader due to personal reasons. I'd like to thank my band mates for hundreds of gigs played together, I wish you all the best.

At the same time I'd like to inform that I shall continue my music adventure along with my bands Christ Agony, Supreme Lord and Witchmaster. See you in Hell."

Vader - New Album Due Later This Year

Vader are gearing up to hit Hertz Studio in Poland, from March 15th to April 10th, 2011, to record Welcome To The Morbid Reich. Mix and mastering will take place in May with a tentative August/September release date through Nuclear Blast.

Vader frontman Peter Wiwczarek plans to record 10-11 tracks plus 2 bonuses for special editions of the Welcome To The Morbid Reich album. Draft titles of a few tracks include: "Lords of Thorns", "I Am Who Feast Upon Your Souls", "Only Hell Knows", "Return to the Morbid Reich", "I Had A Dream".

He also added the following: "For a long time I've been thinking about new tracks and the album concept; more and more things start to be clear. For the most part I'd like Spider (aka guitarist Marek Pajak) to take part in the process of album creation. I also have in mind relating to the good old times with a new lay-out for the album. I met with Zbyszek Bielak, a very talented artist, who will design the new lay-out, merchandise and scenic elements. Zbyszek has already worked with such bands as Watain, Absu, Behemoth... The new album will mainly focus on the Morbid Reich feeling combined with brutal riffs and tempo of the previous albums. We also have a surprise for our devoted fans, we're going to come back to our old logo."

Fans will have a chance to listen to 1 or 2 tracks on upcoming Vader concerts and summer festivals. This year's Blitzkrieg Tour will start a bit later, probably in October, with Vader playing a completely new set.

Vader - New Video Online

"Never Say My Name," the new video from Polish extreme metallers Vader, can now be viewed on YouTube.

Inspired by Patrick Graham's bestselling book "L'Evangile Selon Satan" (translation: "The Gospel According to Satan"), the clip tells an alternate story of the death of a messiah who curses humanity before his death on the cross and chooses life in Hell instead of Heaven. Perhaps because of its "controversial" title and content, this book is not available in the U.S. in English, but a French version can be ordered from Canada.

Commented Vader guitarist/vocalist Piotr "Peter" Wiwczarek: "We started the video shoot on August 15, at about noon. That day we were in the Last Supper and the slaughter of the Messiah's followers scenes, while during the night we were to take some bluebox and Janus shots. The same day in Wroclaw, the masses came to see a light-and-water show taking place just 200 meters from the place of our shooting the 'Bible scenes.' Lots of people were wondering, 'What's being shot here? A new TV series? The Bible stories? Or maybe a Discovery program?' Despite 12 hours of hard work and constant stage make-up changes, we managed to finish before 1 a.m. We went through it without a bloodshed ? well, despite the Last Supper scene... but the blood was a fake.

The next day we took the martyr shots and the Romans' armament ones, which were crucial for Necropolis. Sunday: the unbearable heat and another couple of hours in the nearby gravel pit. It wasn't so easy that day. The owner of the place, who at first was eager to rent it to the Inbornmedia crew, had enough when it came to the crucifixion, burning, and the transformation of the Messiah into Janus. My roars and the burning crucifix brought about an immediate response of the security guards. They called the police and we were supposed to leave the gravel pit at once. Fortunately, we managed to 'steal' one more hour before the cops arrived. There only remained ashes. And we, together with the Romans, came back to the hotel at about. 2 a.m. And there were still the final scenes left."

Vader - Headlining N. American Monsters Of Death Tour

Polish deathsters Vader will team up with California's Decrepit Birth, L.A.'s Warbringer, The Amenta from Australia, Success Will Write Apocalypse Across The Sky from Florida, and Montreal, Canada's Augury for a 38-show "Decibel Presents: Monsters Of Death Tour" through North America beginning November 4th in Baltimore, Maryland.

Vader guitarist/vocalist Piotr "Peter" Wiwczarek shares his thoughts on the upcoming trek: "Metal always was and still needs to be a brotherhood. All we were doing to support the music and the scene was cooperating with other bands. Natural seIection decides if a band is really dedicated or if it's just an episode. Not much has changed today, actually.
Even if the so-called "metal music business" changed some rules, there will still be those who play with passion and those who want success. It is not us who wanna be "a judge," so we always try to tour with bands we have a good relationship with. A good time and a friendly atmosphere is important for all of us. I only hope that everybody will enjoy the tour and will come away with good lessons from it... like we in Vader always do.
Deciding on a set list is always a problem. With every new album, the problem grows bigger and bigger. I decide the set list and I'm always confused. Usually, I try to mix some of old Vader hits with new stuff. The set might be different and depends on the conditions. For the upcoming tour through the USA and Canada, we're gonna make the set slightly different from our shows in Poland and Western Europe. I also asked our fans about their favorite Vader songs. It may help me make a choice. I wish we could play all of our new songs, but it is not possible. I think we'll do 5 pieces from "Necropolis" and mix them in with some old Vader. The veterans and also the new "in-Vaders" will find something interesting for sure! After the maniacs learn the new album better, we can always add more songs."

Monsters Of Death Tour dates:

11/04/09 Sonar - Baltimore, MD
11/05/09 The Palladium - Worcester, MA
11/06/09 Webster Underground - Hartford, CT
11/07/09 The Blender Theater @ Gramercy - New York, NY
