"After long days of negotiations and preparations hereby we would like to announce "Funeral Nation Tour 2009"- a co-headlining European tour of two well known metal monsters Vader and Marduk. It's going to be a special event for all black and death metal freaks the more so because the tour will promote bands' newest full length albums. Vader is ready to unleash hell with their brand new monster "Necropolis" (to be out in August 21 through Nuclear Blast) while Marduk is working on a new opus for Regain Records. Be prepared for a massive panzer attack, ashes, burning ground and total destruction. During this killing trek the co-headliners will be supported by amazing Italian brutal death metal band Fleshgod Apocalypse and one more act (soon to be announced). "Funeral Nation Tour 2009" will cover most of European regions except for the UK, Scandinavia, the Balkans and Baltic States. Marduk and Vader are planning to invade these places early 2010!"

Official press release

After a short break Vader entered the studio again to continue recording session of band's new effort "Necropolis". The tracklisting for the new album has been confirmed. At the moment Piotr "Peter" Wiwczarek is working on guitar and vocal parts. This week Tomasz "Reyash" Rejek will start laying down bass parts. Peter also announces a special guest appearance in a few solo parts on the album. As you may know, in the meantime the band signed a worldwide deal with Nuclear Blast. What a great news to keep the band even more motivated! Here is a brief report from the studioby Peter:

"Welcome again, ALL worshippers of Metal Power! The next step in creating of new album is behind us... "Necropolis" has its shape now. Today (April 16th) we finish recordings of main guitars and after a week break we coming back to the studio to make all leads, bass and vocal parts." The whole program of the album looks like this:

In the middle of March, Vader will enter Hertz Studio in Bialystok, Poland to begin recording session of band's next studio album entitled "Necropolis". All the tracks will be recorded at Hertz and engineered by Wieslawski Bros. Tue Madsen (who previously worked with such bands as Moonspell, Cataract, Heaven Shall Burn and many more...) will mix the album at his famous Antfarm Studios in Denmark.

"Necropolis" will be the first album recorded in Vader's new line up featuring band's new musicians Paul (drums), Reyash (bass) and Vogg (guitars). Famous Polish artist Jacek Wiśniewski (who made cover arts for such albums as "Black To The Blind", "Revelations", "The Beast" and some more...) will take care of the album artwork and its whole layout. One of the songs recorded during the latest pre-production session at Haertz Studio is available for download directly from the band's MP3 section.

Band leader Peter stated about new ideas and plans: "Welcome again, Brothers and Sisters! One of the brand new Vader songs recorded in December at Hertz Studios is available on our Site... It's called "Raise Of The Undead"! We are back to the Underworlds, Dark Spheres and Forgotten Eons. Kind of the Anthem to the undead ideas of Dimensions which exist Here and Beyond. This is gonna be also a teaser of our upcoming creation "Necropolis" - Vader's new album. Recordings starts in the middle of March and we'll stay in the studio for about four weeks. Then we'll move to AntFarm Studios in Denmark to transform all tracks into some kind of venomous incantations. "We open a new chapter in Vader's history in December: "Necropolis"! In Hertz Studios we're gonna record a 4-5 song demo for the upcoming new full length. This is nothing but checking out new sounds and different way of work in studio. It's not gonna be official, thou' we'll put a song on our site for you to listen to. The ultimate recordings are booked for March 2009 and "Necropolis" will be produced by Tue Madsen (who previously worked with such bands as Moonspell, Hatesphere, The Haunted, Gorefest, Heaven Shall Burn and many more) in Anfarm Studio in Denmark. The title of the album - which is the very first Vader song ever - is chosen not by chance. It will be connected with recordings like "De Profundis" or "Litany" with themes of Forgotten Worlds, Mythos or Ancient Powers still living in humans sub consciousness. Just mentioned few titles: "Devour", "Dark Heart" or "Forgotten" (all written by Harry Maat). Pawel Frelik - the Voice of Truth in the band - is also gonna put some lines on the album. We'd like to change "Necropolis" designs as well making the "overall view" in old style of Metal. Of course, I'll keep informing you about the progress. As I promised..."

"Good news from Vader's camp! We would like to confirm officially the band's lineup for the upcoming tours in October and January. It features Piotr "Peter" Wiwczarek (guitar, vocal), Reyash (bass), Waclaw "Vogg" Kieltyka (guitar) and Pawel Jaroszewicz (drums).

Last Sunday at Progresja Club, Warsaw we had a drummers audition. Earlier, actually just after the anniversary gig we had some talks with a few guitarists about possibilities of joining the band. And now we are ready to announce our new touring lineup. The new drummer is 22- year old Pawel Jaroszewicz from Lublin, who previously played in not so well known act Soul Snatcher, he also did some session drumming for Hell-Born and Crionics.
We must admit the level for this audition was much higher than a few years ago, when we were looking for Doc's successor. We received many submissions from all over the world, however we decided to focus on Polish drummers (due to lack of time, we have to prepare at least one -hour set for the upcoming shows, so we need a very good communication). Finally, we chose 3 drummers and checked their skills in such songs as "Dark Age", "Silent Empire", "Carnal" or "Sothis". Pawel "Paul" Jaroszewicz won the competition and he will appear with the band on the upcoming tours.

Guitar player, the one who will replace Mauser is Waclaw Kieltyka, known more as Vogg from Decapitated! You know this guy and what he achieved with his band very well. Having him in Vader - it's definitely a good thing. Try to imagine Vader live with Vogg on second guitar, it's definitely going to be an unstoppable war-machine! Both Paul and Vogg will play with Vader as session musicians. We still haven't decided who would join Vader as permament members. There are a variety of options available, both on drummer and guitarist vacancy. There's no hurry, we want to prepare everything very carefully. Time shall tell...

October tour will run through Scandinavia. Vader will appear on it together with Grave, Zonaria and Gilla Bruja. It starts on October 17th in Vilnius and runs to January 11th (Aarhus). January tour starts on January 9th and runs to January 22nd, during this trip (named Winterfest 2009) Vader will be sharing the stage with Deicide, Samael, Zonaria, Devian and Artisian.

In the meantime the band is also going to prepare stuff for the next studio album. The pre-production session is scheduled for December at Polish Hertz Studio. The recording session is planned for February/ March, mixes and mastering should take place in April/ May. We are going to entrust the production of this album to an extremely experienced and well known producer. We need a guy who would be able to give Vader a new splendor. After 25 years the machine should be well lubricated and polished hehe... Of course, good producers cost a lot of money and Vader is still an underground act, but we have some ideas... We're also looking for some new graphic designers, photographers and so on."

Massive Music Management have posted the following official statement, entitled "Vader would like to thank you all for 25 years of support!":

"We would like to thank to all the participants of our anniversary gig: bands, fans and staff. Thanx to you all we were able to celebrate the 25 anniversary of Vader in so special way. Big thanx to fans for such a numerous presence, bands for fantastic shows they all played in Warsaw, guests for their appearance on this show and our crew for nearly 24 hours of hard work! It was a very important show for us, the more so because it took place in such a difficult circumstances. We were forced to give up an idea of recording DVD due to some technical issues. For technical reasons we were also unable to build a special stage scenery prepared exclusively for this show. Sorry for very long queues for food and drink and the high price of our energy drink - these things were beyond our control. The show ended up turning out well and despite these shortcomings we believe it was a success. Once again- thank you all! All the blood, sweat and tears poured into Vader have been worth it!

At this point we would like to refer to the changes that have occurred in Vader. As you all probably already know, guitarist Maurycy "Mauser" Stefanowicz and drummer Darek "Daray" Brzozowski are no longer in the band and this anniversary gig was their last show with Vader. We would say that mentally, they both were out of the band from a long time. They played with us more like a session guys, without any real commitment and dedication. We were thinking about making some changes since a year or something, now we are glad to have this opportunity to build a new band. At the moment we are looking for some new musicians. Probably next week we are going to present you our new line up.

In October the band will appear on tour in Scandinavia with Grave and Zonaria. In January 2009 Vader will hit the road again, sharing the stage with Deicide and Samael. Just before this tour, in December we are going to start a pre-production process of our new full length album "Necropolis". The recording session is scheduled for March. The album will be mixed by one of the best producers in a music industry! In May 2009 the band will release a new EP. The new album will be out in September. In meantime we are going to appear on many summer festivals. Don't be affraid, Vader don't lose the power and quality. On the contrary we feel it will be much stronger than ever before. Stay Vader'ized, be prepared for a new line up and the upcoming killing album "Necropolis"!"

Vader has issued the following update:

"After 5 years of working with Vader, our bassist Novy (true name Marcin Nowak) decided to part ways with the band! He made his decision right after recently finished European tour. We would like to thank him for all those years of successful cooperation and just a great work he did for the band within the time. The band's members wish him all the best for the future!... Unfortunately, Marcin's decision of leaving the band was made not only after the finished tour in Europe, but also just before the upcoming (and very important) US tour Summer Slaughter Tour 2008 (when we appear alongside Black Dalhia Murder, Kataklysm, Cryptopsy and other bands). This is a very hard situation for the band but don't worry- we have already found a replacement - the session bassist for this tour will be Martin (ex- Decapitated). We are convinced that together with him VADER will be a killer! The session bass player for the shows planned for the rest of 2008 will be announced after the US tour. On August 3 Vader will appear on Polish Woodstock Festival. On August 30 the band will play a special anniversary show in Warsaw. Go to http://www.myspace.com/panzervader and listen to the new version of "Incarnation" taken from the upcoming anniversary album "XXV". The record will be unleashed at the end of May through Regain Records.

The album was specially recorded for Vader's 25th anniversary and features re-recorded songs from various periods of band's history. The album was entirely recorded, mixed and mastered at Hertz Studio with Wiesławscy Bros behind the helm, known from some previous Vader's productions as "The Art Of War" or "Impressions In Blood". The regular double disc edition of the album will feature 25 songs. Among famous Vader's hits as "Carnal", "Cold Demons", "Black To The Blind" you will find there one never officially published track "Tyrani Piekieł" from the very early days of the band. Special digi-pack edition of "XXV" will be released with additional DVD disc featuring bonus songs (Polish versions of "Trupi Jad" or "Reborn In Flames") and some historical rarities in the form of video footage recorded between 1986-2001!!! All the graphics and whole layout of "XXV" was designed by Jacek Wiśniewski, Polish graphic artist resposible for "Black To The Blind", "Litany", "Revelations" or "The Beast" cover arts.

On 11th of April Vader will play an exclusive show in Egypt. That's gonna be one of the first death metal shows in that part of the world! The show will take place in Kair at La Villa Club. Local acts Worm and Dark Philosphy will appear on stage as support acts. The show will be organized by Music Gates agency. "That will be definitely an exciting outing, Vader have never played in Egypt and frankly speaking, we feel almost like pioneers trying to put up a death metal flag on a "no-man's-land". We have some doubts (concerning safety and gig's organization) but hopefully the organizers of the show will do the best to make this show an unforgettable experience both for the fans and the band. We are going to play a great concert for a great audience and be back home safe and sound." - Mariusz Kmiolek (Massive Music).

In the meantime, also Dubai-based death/thrash band Nervecell have been confirmed as the support act on the night. It will mark Nervecell's second appearance in Egypt, as the band had previously headlined the Egypt Metal Festival in March 2007.

Two weeks before this show Vader will appear on South American tournee, playing 10 shows together with Marduk in such countries as Brazil, Chile, Ecuador, Colombia and Venezuela.

It's going to be the loudest anniversary! 25 years on death metal scene, what a great result! Only few bands were able to survive for so unimaginable period of time. Among them there's a Polish death metal band Vader! Massive Music - band's management and booking agency is going to celebrate this great anniversary with a special concert. The show will take place in Warsaw, at Stodola Club on 30th of August.

"Hopefully the venue will be completely packed this day. There are at least a few good reasons to come to this special show. You will see a bunch of famous metal guests, also bands that in the 80's together with Vader created extreme metal scene. The guest-list we've created is quite impressive. Unfortunately, some of them can't appear on the show due to their other obligations. Some of them are maybe too big to be a part of this, I would say- pretty uncommercial event. That's also why we decided to organize this anniversary at Stodola Club, it will be a show for most dedicated Vader's maniacs. Anyhow, you can expect a great package! First bands confirmed for this show are Grave (Sweden), Nile (US), Rotting Christ (Greece) and Krisiun (Brazil). More special guests of Vader's anniversary gig will be announced soon. Another good reason to come to the show is of course Vader! The band will play over two-hour liveset, presenting songs from old demo tapes as well as Vader's famous hits from recent studio albums. The show will be filmed for an anniversary DVD release tentatively called "XXV" (to be released in 2009).

"This time we can promise you a very special release. We don't want to screw up things as it happened with our latest DVD. To refresh the entire concept of a metal DVD we decided to work with people who have never filmed a metal show. Polish death metallers Vader have issued the following update on their website:

"In 2008 Vader will celebrate XXV anniversary. Previously announced tournee of the band starts on April and will last till the end of May. "XXV-Anniversary Tour" will cover all the nooks of Europe and Vader will prepare a very special set for this tour. The band will be teaming up with already announced Septic Flesh from Greece (back from the dead, they are working on a new studio album, out on Season Of Mist in 2008) and Swedish Devian. The band founded by ex-members of Marduk will promote its latest release "Ninewinged Serpent" released in October through Century Media. More details concerning the tour will follow soon."

The DVD entitled "...And Blood Was Shed In Warsaw" will feature the footage from the band's fantastic concert at Stodola Club in February 2007, which was the final stop of the tour promoting their latest album "Impressions in Blood".
