Vox Tempus - Sign With Z Records

Z Records are very proud to announce the signing of Vox Tempus, the bands amazing debut "The Eye Of Time" will be released in Europe during late May 05.

Eric Ragno made the following statement after signing with Z....

Vox Tempus is excited to be joining the illustrious Z Records family. So many great acts have come from this amazing label which Mark Alger has worked so hard to build. The label's recent resurgence has assured us a solid legacy for the future, introducing us to new friends in markets we never got to reach! A special thanks to everyone in the Z family and to our new fans, welcome!

In 1998 the band was introduced to Eric Ragno, a keyboard player in Los Angeles. Eric has played with many of hard rock's musical legends, and was finishing up an album with Takara when he heard that the band was searching for a keyboard player for their upcoming album. Eric's musical contributions served to solidify the band's new sound
As the songs were written and recorded for the new album, the band went through several vocalists. After going through over a hundred submissions from throughout North America, the group finally settled on Dan Reed. His voice is coloured with many different influences - though he truly has a unique sound that's all his own.

As mixing began on the new album, the drummer chose to move on. With this latest change in personnel and a more guitar-oriented approach to their music, the band changed their name to Vox Tempus. The legendary Gregg Bissonette was brought in to record new drum tracks, and a title was chosen - In the Eye of Time. The album features Ray Mantor (guitar), Jim Turba (bass), Eric Ragno (keyboards), Dan Reed (vocals), and special guest Gregg Bissonette (drums).

Entwine - Recording New Album

The following message has been posted on the official Entwine website :

"The band is currently in the middle of recording their yet untitled 5th full-lenght album due to release August 23rd 2006. The plan is to record 13 songs, 12 of them being new as there will be a re-make of "Break Me". However, the forthcoming album will probably include 11 songs. New Entwine hymns were put together at record speed, during only just few weekends, due to busy schedules of members. Gladly, this doesn't affect the quality at all, in fact the boys and a girl agree that the songs sound very promising indeed. Well, we'll hear about that in few months.

Certain is that the team hassling around the record know what they're doing. The album is being recorded at Petrax and Groveland studios by Entwine's very own drummer boy Aksu Hanttu who is nowadays very much employed in the field. Producer guy Janne Joutsenniemi is known to many from the ranks of legendary Stone and latterly Sub Urban Tribe. The tracks will be mixed in the subtle care of Finnvox's Mikko Karmila who is highly appreciated for his work with Nightwish, Children Of Bodom, and many others. Mastering is probably going to take place at Stockholm's Cutting Room.

Recordings have been going really well so far and knowing these guys, with couple of relaxing evening beers of course. Mika is currenty working on his vocal parts. view studio pictures]"

Dissection - New Video Online

Dissection's new video for the track "Starless Aeon" has been posted online here. The track comes off their forthcoming new album, Reinkaos.

About the unique video (made by Magnus Göthlund and Jim Heneghan - Speedsled Films), singer and guitarist Jon Nödtveidt says, "For the making of the video to "Starless Aeon", the first song from Reinkaos to become visual, Dissection explore a special filming technique, shooting scenes backwards, with the band literally having to perform their music and sing the lyrics backwards. The filmed sequences have then ultimately been reversed again, with an original backwards sequence playing forwards in sync with the album version of the song. The visual result appears rather sick and disturbing, and like the rest of the video, very dark."

AC/DC - Video Posted Online

Original AC/DC singer Dave Evans' official web site has been updated with the video for AC/DC's "Can I Sit Next To You Girl" single. You can watch it here.

"Can I Sit Next To You Girl", featuring Dave Evans on vocals, was AC/DC's debut single. The clip was recorded around May 1974 for release on Australian national TV. It was taped at The Last Picture Show venue in Cronulla, Sydney, which was originally a movie theater before it became a rock venue. All the top acts, including AC/DC, would play there.

AC/DC had originally been a jeans-and-t-shirt type band, and to coincide with the release of the single, it was agreed that the band would wear some outrageous costumes ? including Angus with his schoolboy uniform ? to catch the attention of the industry and the fans.

AC/DC began a national tour just after filming the "Can I Sit Next To You Girl" video and backed up Lou Reed on a few shows in Melbourne and Adelaide.

"Can I Sit Next to You Girl" was voted the best Australian single of 1974.
