Benediction - Back Catalogue To Be Re-released

Birmingham, UK's 'music killing, metal riffing, punk rocking, beer drinking hell-raisers' Benediction have issued the following update:

"Right then, our label Nuclear Blast will be re-releasing our album back catalogue this summer. The better news is that it will be two albums in one package on the three releases: Subconscious Terror / The Grand Leveller, Transcend The Rubicon / The Dreams You Dread, Grind Bastard / Organized Chaos. All three releases will come in nice new packaging. The release date for all the double album releases will be August 8th.

For more information about these releases and where to buy them, click here.

As previously announced, Benediction's seventh brand new long-player Killing Music, will be released August 22nd. As well as the normal single CD release, there will be a limited edition digi CD with two bonus tracks and a 'warts and all' DVD of our time in the studio including footage of Karl from Bolt Thrower and Jock from GBH laying down their stuff on the cover songs on the album, a lot of fun! These extras will only be available on the special edition release."

Benediction - Complete Work On New Album

Benediction have issued the following update:

"Well, thats it. We've recorded everything and now we have to let go of it. It is in the more than capable hands of the producer, Mick 'Ginger Cunt' Kenney of Anaal Nathrakh infamy. If you can imagine the crispness of the grindbastard album with the ferocity of Anaal Nathrakh on a disc then you will get the idea of what is to come. A lot of beer, football, hospitals, pubs, curries, kebabs, kitkats and crisps went into the making of "Killing Music"!

Thanks to everyone who popped in on the recording sessions to give support and drink our free beer! We look forward to hearing the finished product once mick has weaved his ginger magic on our baby."

Killing Music tracklisting:

01. Hells Gate
02. Cold, Deathless, Unrepentant
03. Killing Music
04. Dripping With Disgust
05. Dissembler
06. Rats In The Mask (Controlopolis)

Benediction - Entering Studio Soon

Long-running British Death Metal legends Benediction have posted the following statement on their MySpace-page:

"OK, they've talked and talked about it for long enough. The boys will be going into the studio on November 21 (booked and confirmed!) to actually record the fucking album ("Killing Music") at long last. It will be released at the end of March 2008 and a full tour will commence in April 2008 for God knows how long followed by as many festivals that will allow them to play!!! There will be at least 12 tracks on the final mix, maybe more, if the studio can keep them out of the bar for long enough. Let's hope they manage to stay alive long enough to get in the studio considering the mayhem they cause by just popping out for a few drinks together!!! Get the ambulances ready, it's gonna get messy."

The line up of Benediction in 2007 consists of:

Dave Hunt - Vocals
Darren Brookes - Guitar
Peter Rew - Guitars
Frank Healy - Bass
Nicholas Barker - Drums

Benediction - Postpone US Tour

The following message was posted on Benediction's official MySpace page:

"We have postponed the tour later this year. Reasons? Working visas mainly. We seem to be able to use british passports to get into just about every other country in the world with no problem except the country which in political circles is our closest allie and friend!!!. Minor offences up to 15 years in the past can cause great concern to the authorities that be. This includes late payments of fines/drunk and or disorderly. This it seems makes you a national risk!!!. The usual shit. We'll try and get out there in early 2008 (if the immigration/visa department let certain people in the gang in !!!) Sorry about that. Shit happens. Get over it,we have. We'll sort it".
