Guns N' Roses - Slash T-Shirts Banned From London Show

It seems that apparently not only is Slash not welcome at any Guns N' Roses shows, but neither are Slash T-shirts.

According to British music magazine NME, a fan at GNR's May 31 concert at London's O2 Arena, who showed up a wearing a Slash T-shirt, was forced by security to remove his shirt at the door. The concertgoer, 18-year-old James Revell, grudgingly abided and entered the venue bare-chested.

Hellfest - Another Legend On The Bill: SLASH!

The full line up was announced on the 25th February, but sometimes surprises can happen! We're pleased and proud to announce that the legendary guitarist of Guns n' Roses and Velvet Revolver SLASH has just confirmed his participation at HELLFEST on Saturday 19th June along with ALICE COOPER, TWISTED SISTER, etc?

Many of you (like us to be honest!) thought that the bill was definitely closed and that there wouldn't be any more additions, but what could we do? Could we refuse to see such a legend on the festival's stage? We decided to give you this little gift which will, for sure, satisfy all the fans of hard rock.

SLASH will be accompanied by famous musicians such as Myles Kennedy (Alter Bridge), Bobby Schenck (Slash's Snakepit / Aerosmith), Todd Kerns (Age Of Electric / Sin City Sinners) and Brent Fritz (Theory Of A Deadman / Alice Cooper). He will play songs from his latest solo album and classics of Guns n' Roses and Velvet Revolver.

HELLFEST will be upon us in less than 80 days and tickets are selling really well. This gives us high hopes that the festival should be sold out in advance! You know what you have to do now!

Dødheimsgard - Vocalist Leaves Band

Kvohst has posted the following on the band's myspace blog:

"After a pretty tough month and some deep contemplation, I have decided to call it a day and check out of the Dødheimsgard asylum. The reasons for my departure are personal and I'd like them to stay that way. My work in DHG and on Supervillain has been a labour of love but, unfortunately, love, as Bukowski once said, can often be "like trying to carry a full garbage can on your back over a rushing river of piss." I can only thank the rest of the band, especially Vicotnik and the fans, for their total support and dedication and for some of the best years of my life. As a fan of the band since I was young, I will continue to support DHG and I hope that you will do the same.

Metal til death

Kvohst"

Masterplan - Vocalist Jørn Lande Leaves

German power metallers Masterplan parted ways with their singer Jørn Lande due to musical differences. The statement of their label AFM Records reads as follows:

Sometimes ways can separate from each other: due to musical differences singer Jorn Lande has left Masterplan last week. During working on the new album the band had to experience that both sides were having different ideas and wishes for the songwriting. While Jorn would have loved to push the style of the band more into the melodic direction, the rest of the band wanted to go back to the metal-roots of the debut album. So the decision was made to go separate ways in the future.

Drummer Uli Kusch about it: "We are not really happy about Jorn's decision, but on the other side it doesn't make sense to continue if the ideas are that different. The music would suffer from it and the music is why we are doing it. We wish Jorn a successful future and want to thank him for everything he did for us. It was a great and interesting time!"

The band is currently searching for a new singer. "There are already some possibilities that might be interesting for us, but nothing is decided yet", Uli explains. "We hope that we can already present the new singer on the gigs we are playing this year. And for sure there won't be any changes in the musical style of Masterplan. We are currently working on the songs."
