Helloween - New Video Available

Helloween have released a video for the new version of the song "Dr. Stein". The clip was shot with Oliver Sommer from AVA Studios. According to a press release, the clip is described as "a comical video where the guys don't take themselves too serious and intentionally present the band in a very self-ironic way!"

Helloween's upcoming Unarmed - Best Of 25th Anniversary compilation album will be released in Europe on January 29, 2010. A US release date has yet to be announced.

Don't like the video, but I like the song. Glad they tried to make it different.

I know this is going to be slated by the more close-minded people out there, though.

I wonder if Dr. Stein had any idea his creations would make a video this bad...

This whole situation around "new Helloween" furtherproofs my suspicion, that any longer running band can never satisfy fans...if they remain same style for years, they are criticized for being stereotypical...if they come up with something new, they are bashed for it as well...

It's supposed to be funny, you're not supposed to take it seriously. Some people just don't seem to understand this.

All the re-recorded songs sound great.

Even though I'm not a fan of this band, I found this video not so bad. At least it presents something different, a point which can't be blamed.

This sucky song and stupid pop video remind me why I despise Powermetal bands so much since 2000. It's desecration of the original.

This genre really needs to be wiped away from the face of the earth. PM is a pathetic joke that leads nowhere these days.

P.S. A big fuck off in advance to those who will blame me for my close-mindedness. And I send it wholeheartedly. You fools can't make the difference between real metal music and pop-ish crap.

People often use this argument to defend lame things.

From my point of view, if music can't be taken seriously, it means it's pointless and worthless. It means it's too lame to be taken seriously.

Is Mr Bean to be taken seriously? Or any comedy program, actually...
Come on. You don't have to take everything in life seriously, especially when you are supposed to be enjoying it.

Of course, Mr Bean must not be taken seriously. However, I think humour has its place in some things but not in others. Metal is not the place for humour, from my point of view.

How's the weather up there?

Sometimes the mere act of taking a classification of music as serious as many do is in itself, humorous.

No wonder metal so often sucks nowadays if people find lame things funny.
It explains why the metal scene becomes more and more a joke as time goes by.
If I'm an elitist because I think so, so be it. People can think whatever they want about me, I don't care.

I'm not judging you, and if you don't like humour in what you chose to listen to then there's nothing wrong with that.
But if that is the case - why are you watching a Helloween video? Silly humour isn't new where Helloween in concerned.

Why you always have to mess with Manowar looking back into 80ties? werent there zillions other exactly same or even worse looking bands?

anyway, "metal must be serious" philosophy is stupid imo...there are "serious" bands, if you request them you can find them...but i see no excuse for rule "every metal band has to be serious, otherwise it is lame and sucks"
