Sons Of Aeon - New Band Ft. Ex-Swallow The Sun, Ghost Brigade Members
Sons Of Aeon has uploaded three brand-new songs online. The tracks are called "Weakness," "Seeds of Destruction," and "Burden" and are available for streaming/free download at the band's website.
The drums were recorded at Studio Watercastle in Jyväskylä, Finland by Arttu Sarvanne, while guitars and bass were recorded at Sons Of Aeon's home studio and the vocals were handled by Teemu Liekkala. The mixing and mastering was taken care of by Antti Malinen.
The Finnish-based metal band features ex-Swallow The Sun drummer Pasi Pasanen, Ghost Brigade guitarist Wille Naukkarinen and Ghost Brigade guitarist Tommi Kiviniemi on bass. The line-up is completed with Code For Silence vocalist Tony Kaikkonen and Tapio Vartiainen on guitars.

I agree. I was expecting some low tempo stuff, but it's a very nice melodic death style. Pretty good actually.

Well, it's actually just 1 ex-member from Swallow The Sun. StS isn't known for being uninspired. Most of their stuff is quite compelling imo. They're one of my favorite bands. I'm not really a fan of melodic death metal. Each of these songs start off exactly the same. Sounds bit like a watered down in-flames w/o flashy guitars. I can imagine this being fun live, but I'm already bored of it.

Sounds pretty good. Wasn't expecting this kind of melo-death, which is good. I was expecting Swallow the Sun type melo-death.

I was like, "WTF". o_o But then I noticed a bottle of alcohol or something and it made more sense, but seriously... Why would you have that phrase printed on a shirt?
