Death To All - Announce European Tour
Europeans didn't have many chances last year to see the Death To All tour but this year their luck is changing. DTA will tour Europe for the first time. The Death line up will consist of Sean Reinert (Cynic) - drums, Paul Masvidal (Cynic) - guitar, Steve DiGiorgio (Autopsy, Testament, Iced Earth) - bass and Max Phelps (Cynic) - guitar and vocals. The setlist will feature most of the songs from the Human album plus other Death classics. It already looks like a fun night in perspective but there is more: direct support will come from German tech death heroes Obscura whose singer/guitarist Steffen Kummerer was asked to be vocalist on the first Death-tribute shows in 2012, but couldn't take the job due to visa issues. Also on the tour will be DarkRise.

Saw it last year at Neurotic Deathfest and to be honest it was nothing more than a decent cover band focusing way to much on the last couple of Death albums/ Just like that Thin Lizzy is just a cover band without Phil the case here is the same no Chuck equals no Death

All amazing musicians, but this isn't Death. The big Death logo on the poster with no sub-text is just wrong, this is Death To All, not "Death". I know it says "DTA", at the side, but it's still as if this is being promoted as a Death show. It should be clearly advertised as a tribute show... Death without Chuck isn't Death at all.

I only posted it to let people know what the manager has to say about it. Anyone with a pea for a brain should be able to discern that Death is no more and that this is a tribute to their music

The line-up that will be playing shows as mentioned here is totally diferent from the Death To All line-up at Neurotic Deathfest and to the ones that played those dates in 2012

A tribute act is one that tries to emulate band as close as possible, be it live or in the studio. This is as close as it gets. Haven't seen them live, but theoretically they are a tribute act. Edit: you might want to call it a spin-off band since the original members are in it but same thing really...

I think the only relevant aspect of it is that you can pretty much be guaranteed it won't be as good as the real deal, other than the bass duties.  If I lived in Europe and were to see this (and I bet tickets would be overpriced) it would be for Obscura.
