Soundwave 2015 - Confirm Slipknot, Faith No More, Soundgarden And More


The Soundwave Festival 2015 will be held over 2 days in each city for the first time - Adelaide and Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane. And the first bands have already been announced. Some of the biggest names include Faith No More, Soundgarden, Lamb Of God, Marilyn Manson, Judas Priest and Slipknot.

What do you think about the line-up so far?

Day 1: Faith No More, Soundgarden, Incubus, Lamb Of God, Ministry, Mayhem, Fear Factory, Atreyu, Godflesh, Monuments, Ne Obliviscaris, and more.

Day 2: Slipknot, Slash, Marilyn Manson, Judas Priest, Godsmack, Apocalyptica, Crossfaith, Butcher Babies, and more.




Soundwave 2015 dates:

  • Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd February, 2015
    Adelaide - Bonython Park
    Melbourne - Flemington Racecourse

  • Saturday 28th February and Sunday 1st March, 2015
    Sydney - Olympic Park
    Brisbane - RNA Showgrounds

    Two-day tickets go on sale for Soundwave members this Friday 22 August, 9am local and to the General Public on Friday 29 August, 9am local. To sign up to become a member head to http://soundwavefestival.com.

    No kidding. I mean a few of these bands I would like to see for myself (like Mayhem, LoG, Fear Factory, and maybe Godflesh) but this is a pretty... ugly looking festival. I'm assuming the cost is an arm and leg too, given the likes of Priest, Manson, Slipknot, etc. are performing.

    Also why isn't the Judas Priest name bigger on the poster? You'd think a band of that status would be a major draw. Are they unpopular in Aussieland?

    Hey now, don't go putting words in my mouth. I never argued that metal wasn't popular in Australia, I argued that it is popular in Canada.

    Still though, not worth the money. Maybe if it came with some backstage or VIP access or something, but even then I dunno.
