This is the cover of one of my top 10 albums:

Literally one of the worst album covers, and at the same time one of the best albums I've heard.

That's a pretty cool cover and all but i'm more excited to hear the music. Looking forward for the new album

I was just making a joke as I generally agree with album covers having little to nothing to do with the quality of the music. And that is indeed one of the best albums ever. Loads of examples of amazing albums with bad or boring cover art, though. Heck, I find most Enslaved's album covers pretty crappy for example.

I just can't get into Stu Block, but I didn't care for Ripper Owens either (goes for Judas Priest as well), so as far as I'm concerned, Iced Earth broke up after Horror Show with a small reunion to record "The Crucible of Man" which I also couldn't get into.

Great Heathen Army sounds AWESOME live so I can't wait to hear it in the studio!!

Iced Earth´s The Dark Saga is for me the best album and cover


Anyway, I hope this one to be better than the "unispired" last one

The cover reminds me of Eddie from Iron Maiden. Stu Block was awesome in Into Eternity, though his albums with Iced Earth has been somewhat lackluster.

Well I'M no Iced Earth fan but Dystopia was pretty solid record. Even though it completely sucks how they don't fully utilize the voice of Stu... hopefully that will change for the better with this one

If you mean by that, that you want to hear some of his growls like when he was the singer of Into Eternity, then I'm afraid that won't happen.

"BJ: Rob Halford of Judas Priest talked about the importance of a heavy metal singer as opposed to a "growler". Iced Earth has always kept that metal singer sound, what are your feelings on the metal growl?

Jon: I am into melody so the growls don't really work for me as a writer. I have never been interested in those kinds of vocals. I like singers that can sing even though some of it can be cool.

Eddie is being transferred from Iron Maiden to Iced Earth. Up the Iced Earths!

You know, if global warming proceeds as it currently is, Iced Earth might soon become a household name in the music world. Up the Iced Earths!

I love the new cover. I love most of their covers really. As for the albums there's only been a couple I didn't take too. Both the last something wicked's for example.
As for Stu's voice, I think it is amazing. I was never a massive fan of Matt except for Horror Show And Dark Saga. It worked so well there.
I also think Tim was perfect for Glorious Burden. The Gettysburg Trilogy suits him down to the ground.
I've seen I.E. live three times. Each with a different singer and I would personally say Stu is the best.
All this is just my humble opinion though.
