It was expected from the title but this confirms it. Sounds pretty good anyway.

Not quite sure what to think at the moment, few more listens required. This track is pretty redundant in its first half or so and doesn't really start to get interesting until about 5 minutes in. When it does though it's pretty cool. Von Meilenwald definitely seems to be going for more of a tribal flavor here, and there appears to be a bit more of a BM presence this time around than on Blood Vaults, which is a plus.

However, some of the tracks that were initially released for Blood Vaults got me pretty hype at first and then the album as a whole ended up being a little weaker than usual, so I'll hold my breath on this one and see what comes next.

It's not just you, I don't like what he's been doing with the clean vocals lately either. They were pretty weak on Blood Vaults and they're just flat out weird here. Too buried in the background now, a return to this sort of approach is desirable, if you ask me

Decent track, but I hope it serves a bigger purpose in the big scheme of the album.
The production is too clean though, isn't it?

You are right but I am Greek, so I know the word's meaning. The link I provided gives the modern meaning, the wikipedia link gives details mainly about the word's ancient meaning. I have no way of knowing how it is used in the song because I don't know the rest of the lyrics, but a guy screaming malakia in the middle of a song is fucking hilarious if you are Greek. Malakia aside, I quite like the song.

Yeah it does. Also this is just as boring as any track from the last album.

Disappointing trend downward.

Expected something like the last EP, but this was pretty decent. Let's see what he can do with the tribal stuff.

My thoughts as well, it's not as good as I'd prefer but it's not bad either so I'm more curious now about how it'll flow with the rest of the tracks than anything

Sorry if I sounded like a snob but this track was really boring really just like the last album which I got fed up with just after a single listen, too long and not much happening and this sounded like its going to be the same. Thats the reason I hated this unnecessarily dragged up 9 minute track, I too am hopeful the album is overall more interesting and listenable and on the same page with you when it comes to that.

I agree that the last album was pretty dull (that 9.5 review I wrote for it definitely needs a rewrite, I was high or something), but I think that's really owed to something. It was a concept album, so too many ideas without really enough musical variation to back it up. Von Meilenwald stretched himself a little too thin with that, I think. Hopefully this one is a little less thematically intense and there's a greater sense of diversity amongst the tracks like on Foulest or Unlock The Shrine. Fingers crossed
