Into Eternity - Vocalist Stu Block Rejoins The Band

After leaving Iced Earth earlier this year, vocalist Stuart "Stu" Block rejoins his former band Into Eternity. He already performed with the band at the Loud As Hell Fest recently in Dinosaur Downs, Alberta (Canada).

Stu Block commented: "What an amazing time with Into Eternity at the Loud As Hell Fest! I had such a killer time with my brothers Matt,Tim,Troy and Bryan and sister from another mister Amanda! Soooooo I'm sure you are all speculating if I will be coming back to Into Eternity permanently and the answer is....YES! I will be coming back sharing lead vocal duties with the amazing Amanda Kiernan! The insane talent that is in this band needs to be showcased to the world again through new recordings and some touring. We will be working hard on new music and refining the live show to perfection for you to enjoy. We have LOTS of exciting things coming within the next few months! We can't wait!"

Didn't see this coming. Nice surprise for sure. I remember listening to "The Scattering Of Ashes" on repeat when it came out. Amazing record.

Got a lot of airtime out of The Scattering Of Ashes - din't really dig their other ones similarly so not expecting much from this but would be delighted at another album at that level

Wow, awesome! Their last record was pretty bad but I don't feel like it was necessarily the bands fault. It just sounded like there wasn't much money or time to put into the record and we were left with awful production and songs which were written many years apart from each other.

Stu coming back changes everything, excited to see if they can come up with anything on the level of Buried or Ashes!

I like Into Eternity, but if the reason Stu left initially was because he thought the grass was greener on the other side by joining Iced Earth, then the other band members should've told him to fuck off when he asked to rejoin and to cut the fake "brothers" talk. That's IF though. Couldn't find the exact reason when looking it up, but it all points to that being the case.

Great news! Its a good move to keep both vocalists. Their last album was really good. Can't wait to hear what they can come up with now that Stu is back on board.

That's not an attitude that brings much in life to say "fuck off" and consider people who pursued a dream as traitors. Hopefully they are just still friends and want to make music together, and they were able to fully accept Stu's previous life decisions.

Based on reading some interviews and just the way he handles situations, reasons for leaving bands, his choice of words, etc., Stu just comes off as very selfish and fake to me. He was good in Into Eternity and Iced Earth though (even though a lot of the time he sounded like a Barlow clone)...no doubt about it.

I just came here to say I've been to Drumheller a couple times and that badlands shithole somehow attracted Into Eternity?

I thought they just had some big redneck race car thing going on and a stupid t-rex. Who knew.

Just learned about this news, also went and looked more recent things - seems Amanda was absent from rehearsal and recent shows. I thought she was great, had their last album been given a decent production it could've been a moderate success, with her possibly the highlight. With her possibly out I'm not that excited about Stu's comeback.
