Canadian technical thrashers DBC (Dead Brain Cells) just announced that Eric Marsan (Point Blank Rage, Hidden Pride, Necronomicon (CAN)) has been hired as their new lead guitarist, replacing Bill Thompson, who had been in the band for nearly ten years. Marsan is expected to appear on DBC's long-awaited third studio album, which will be their first since 1989's Universe.

The band wrote via Facebook: "We'd like to send a big welcome to Eric Marsan for joining the DBC family. Eric has played with Point Blank Rage, Hidden Pride and Necronomicon (CAN). He'll be taking over as lead guitarist, looking forward to some good jams and music.
