Opeth - More Festival Appearances Cancelled
Opeth have issued the following update:
"Due to Mikael contracting Varicella (Chicken Pox), the appearances this weekend, Peace & Love (Borlänge, Sweden on June 26), Hovefestivalen (Norway on June 27), Metaltown (Gothenborg, Sweden on June 28), and Graspop Metal Meeting (Dessel, Belgium on June 29), have all been cancelled. We hope to have Mike on his feet again as soon as possible, and obviously apologize to all and any that had set out to see Opeth this weekend."
The replacement for Opeth on the Hovefestivalen and Metal Town is Satyricon.

Elijah speaks truth here. Chicken Pox is worse when you're adult with it. Although he probably won't die from it... Varicella has a low death rate, but higher in adults...

For the ones who were caring about Mikael Åkerfeldt's health, he has issued the following update: "Just to avoid any confusion, I want to confirm that I'm feeling much better and Opeth will be performing the remaining summer festivals that we've committed to, starting with Ruisrock [in Turku, Finland] this Saturday [July 5]."
