Hi metalstormers, The title is clear. Please remember and reply with the weirdest or funniest metal band names that you have come accross during your life in the scene. It is in fact almost impossible to name a metal band nowadays that is not being used already, above all, if you want to give it a metalrelated name involving words like Hell, Warrior, Doom, Death, Thrash, Black, Red, Heavy, Pink...SORRY slip of the tongue, Steel, Fire and the like. Last time I was in a band we were thinking in having the most strange name as possible so as to attract attention and, at the same time, not to be sued by another band with already that name. We thought about choosing: "Where is Bin Laden?" and translated from Spanish: 600 mb of Porno or Anita's great belches -Anita is a friend of mine with body of a model, face of an angel, not metalhead but a bit posh... and that belches like a drunk truckdriver-. Whenever she belches, everybody looks at me or another boy in the group. The weirdest names I have heard from established bands are "Cadáveres de Tortugas" that means "Turtle corpses" that it is really twisted and weird and the best one: "Bodies in the gears of the apparatus" Fuck, that's a name. Complex and re-twisted. I remember as well a discussion with a friend of mine that liked that musical genre that was called "Noise" 10 years ago. There were very strange band names in that label. Once he was naming some of them and we were laughing, then he said something that I did not understood. I said: what? Vaginal stone? -In Spanish: piedra vaginal. He said: NO, weird, you are twisted. That name makes nonsense. PERA, Pera vaginal! -IN English: Vaginal pear. The real name was even more strange that the one I understood. Well. Please tell me the weirdest names you have come accross during your life and we will laugh or even fear the twisted minds of their members. S.O.D. Stormtroopers of Death is one to fear. Bye.

Nice post mate.. "Cadáveres de Tortugas" is something to be reminded I guess "Anal Cunt" is going to win this one... although "Alabama Thunderpussy" is my favourite contender. Waiting to enter in the game could be "Ultra Vomit"

(assuming that's possible) hehe

@dane train: i'd say that's pretty much unlikely, but if they can, or one of them can, or of anyone can, i'd reeaally like to see them pronouncing it.

AAAAARGH! Bloody 2-Handed Chainaxe Blow is quite weird to be honest. They are a French Death Metal band with albums such as "Four Songs From Us" or "Five Songs From Us". All of their discography is recorded in CD-R devices and all covers are left blank.

Hi people. Thanks for the names. LOL. I told my girlfriend about them and we have not stopped laughing this morning. Thanks them for this one, The long nose of God and The exploding cockflowers. I just remembered another ones: there was a band named after a popular song from a punk metal Basque band -at the north of Spain- The name is S.h.a.k.t.a.l.e. that stands for "Siempre hay alguien que te amargará la existencia"...There will be always somebody that will ruin you existence A crossover-like old metal band that I used to like named S.D.I. 13.12.2008 - 17:03 Written by ALL PPL JERK on 13.12.2008 at 08:10 Thats what Kvist mean?! Thats a pretty good band too by the way! I never got a chance to buy anything from them, but from what I heard, they just simply changed their name. I will have to look them up again after this. Goofy names...not TOO many come to mind. I always thought Negura Bunget was a weird name, and I probably still don't say it right. As a side note, I'll have to mention our old high-school day, joke, punk project. The 'band' name was 'Babies With STDs'. What if someone just used one of those 'Captchas' as a band name?!?! That would be great! Interviewer: So, where did you guys come up with the band name 8JIZ67U? Band member: Captchas, man!

@CDR: yeah, Kvist mean "twig". I have 2 or 3 song from their first, and also their only album. They are very good band if regarding those songs I have, so I think that their only album is good. Checking their MA profile, it says Kvist disbanded. I guess their stuff/album with one demo and one album are very rare, even they are good. Negura Bunget means "black foggy forest". One IMO also weird band name I think, is Entwine.

That's from the paracocci-trivia: The bands name refers to a combination of several diseases. Coccidioidomycosis: disease which affects man and some animals and is caused by the spores of a certain fungus. Proctitis: inflammation of the rectum and anus. Sarcomatosis: condition characterized by sarcomatous tumors throughout the body. whhaaa

I don't think there's a weirder band name than this one - UP-C DOWN-C LEFT-C RIGHT-C ABC + START - . It's a post rock band, decent band , but nothing extraordinary.
