That's right, Seth Putnam's weird band.. can't believe theres not even a topic about these guys... Don't know if discuss this is forbid or something (like Nokturnal Mortum not have a profile kind of stuff)...

Anyway, i take some time to decide either to put this topic here in Extreme, or the General Music Sub-forum, since the music they make is pretty much a kind of anti-music... but they have similarities with Death/Grind.. so i just put the thread here..

Musically, this band is agressive as hell, just crazy drums, ''riffs'' (if we can call it that) and an weird vocal.. but what is unique about this band are they lyrics and their content... quite variable... from extreme offence (even racist, but mostly homophobic) songs like ''You'r Gay'', ''Pottery's Gay'', ''Recycling Is Gay'', ''(Random Words) is Gay'' or other kinds: ''You Were Too Ugly To Rape, So I Beat The Shit Out Of You'', ''Even Though Your Culture Opresses Women...'', ''Your Kid Is Deformed''... but there is also lyrics and song themes there are so stupid that comes close to hilarious like ''The Word Homophobic Is Gay'', ''Limp Bizkit Think They're Black, But They're Just Gay'', ''Haha Your Wife Left You'' or ''I Got Athlete's Foot Showering At Mike's''..

Strangely, there is also an ''melodic'' album, with a satirical connotation, its called Picnic of Love.. all songs are light-hearted, about love, marriage, wishes and hope.. the extreme opposite of the band's other features.

It's not a band to recommend to anyone, but it's curious too see such a crappy band, with crappy songs, that only makes polemical or comic songs become relatively famous.. it surely caught my attention for some reason ... for they anti-music being so close to some kinds of metal, I decided to start this topic, in case of anyone has an opinion about all this.

My friends is possessed whit this band, he has all CD, I cant stand it, I listen fiew CD and its total anarchy, I understand why band sint in metal-archives, it isnt metal, totaly stupid band, ok I like some gridn core bands but not this one, look at song title,s song lenght etc

I love their song titles, and a part of me wishes I could like them a lot, but I just can't enjoy their music.

I like Anal Cunt.. The way Seth Putnam writes the lyrics are just fun, and I'm a big fan of fun.. Musically he's one of a kind. There are tons of Grindcore bands but non of them do as Anal Cunt do..
Oh, the song titles are amazingly funny too.. Recycling Is Gay is my favorite, and there are so many funny titles.. I like Picnic of Love too, although in my opinion his clean vocals suck.

Anal Cunt is the most awesomest and funniest metal band ever. Whenever I listen to them, I get a colossal stiffy.

I used to listen to Anal Cunt all the time and laugh my ass off...Picnic of Love is the most hilarious album ever...I love how some people don't know whether to believe it or think of it as a joke...

They were fun to see live and I sometimes read lyrics and song titles. "Hitler was a sensitive man" is hilarious. Musically, well, I'm not really into noise/grind.

As someone else once said, "hitting the drum kit with the guitar repeatedly while screaming "gay" as many times as you can over the disorganized noise resulting from doing so can't be that funny for very long". To me, it's just an example of bad humour that's worn out it's welcome a long time ago. It would be slightly amusing if there was anything else behind it, or if they just released like one album, but unfortunately there's nothing else to it and there's tons of the stuff...

Suffice to say it stopped being funny a long time ago, and now it's just stupid.

I don't agree with those who say that all their merit is based in their titles/lyrics... their earlier noisecore shit is rather senseless, but with the years they had became a GREAT grind act; I especially like the Defenders Of The Hate EP. I'm also a fan of Seth's sludge project Adolf Satan

Yeah I would say their music is based more on them making fun of musical genres and artists most of the time...

Oh, I just found out today that Seth Putnam has made a new line-up for Anal Cunt and they are going to release two albums this year, which one of the two is Picnic of love II.. I'm really curious to see what it would be..

Anal Cunt, Musically, is not that impressive, even though Scott Hull DID play guitar for them on I think, was it one album? Or two? anyway, they're lyrics can be hillarious, and they even inspired me in mine and my friend'r grindcore project. However, I must say that Seth Putnam is a racist douchebag and I would laugh if I saw him get disembowled....okay, maybe that was a little extreme, but he is, without a doubt, a huge asshole.

I was just on Seth's website a couple of days ago out of curiosity of what he was up to now. I didn't see anything about another Picnic of Love but that would be seriously awesome.

I actually find most of the titles funny.... "You're pregnant so I kicked you in the stomach."

I actually like the music a little bit. Don't really know why, but it's funny to listen to at times.

If anyone actually believes Anal Cunt are serious, then they are tools. How could be a band with songs like "Body By Auschwitz" be serious?

I think you mean 110 Song CD.. I got it some days ago, it was about 20 minutes, more look like their early 90's multi-tracks. It was good..

Do you mean the 5643 song EP? They recorded short improvised noisecore songs for 13 minutes 16 times and played them all at once. This came out back in the late '80s.

It actually sounds awesome. Very intense and chaotic. I didn't really think much of their improvised stuff but like this it sounds good.

It is very unlikely Seth is actually racist since their first demo was produced by a black guy...

AC is a band that barely even plays a coherent musical form. I don't see how that can be "the best one", considering all the other wicked grind out there.
Mind you, I don't give a shit about grindcore in general, but I can tell if a band plays something that has some quality in it, as opposed to... whatever the fuck AC were doing.
