Enslaved - 20th Anniversary Headlining Tour

Norwegian progressive black metal quintet Enslaved will be returning to North America this fall for a headlining tour marking the band's 20th anniversary of existence.

The Circling Above & Within - North American Tour, Part II is taking off by the end of September, and features the support of Ghost and Alcest.

A statement from the band goes as follows: "Listen; the sun is setting, but I still see the twinkle! The support we've been getting from North America throughout our latest releases and tours is unparalleled, and for that we are eternally grateful. It is therefore an undivided pleasure for us to announce that when autumn sets, we will be back to tour the U.S. and Canada; this time for a full headliner tour with a full headliner set. 2011 marks the 20th anniversary for Enslaved, so we will be underlining both the deep past and blazing present of our musical universe to celebrate. It is also with a sense of intense pride that we can present the bands that will be traveling with us for the tour: Ghost and Alcest. Yes, you read that right! I don't think I need to elaborate more on that; it will be a package for the books. See you then!"

I'm going to kill them. This is the third tour of the US while there was not one here in Europe. And they play with Opeth, Dimmu Borgir and Alcest there. What have the americans done to deserve this?

@corrupt, I don't see Opeth and Dimmu Borgir being mentioned anywhere. They will play the US with Ghost and Alcest

Ghost and Alcest alone are worth the ticket price imo. Haven't listened to any Enslaved but anyway i'd definitely attend this tour if they came round here.

I love it when major headliners come through the States. They always try to net the bands no one has ever heard of.

The last two times they toured the US they played with the other two. I was still jealous of that. Even before they announced Alcest.

Once again AZ gets snubbed.

they have played AZ three times since "Ruun" came out... they headlined that tour, but just got short-changed opening on their last two. so we can't complain too much about getting passed over this time around.

Dude.... Europe gets a thousand better tours and festivals than america. Sure enslaved has played here a lot recently, but thousands of bands never even make it here!
