Second album of the Italian combo Dynamic Lights, "Shape" will be without any doubt one of the revelations of the year in the really productive Progressive Metal world. I just discovered the band with this album but I already know that I'm in front of an amazing Progressive combo. Fans of Dream Theater, Queensrÿche and Pain Of Salvation, this album is a must for you.

When I listen to this album, I'm touched by the magnificent ambiance that we can find on it. The music of Dynamic Lights is pure like crystal and the excellent progressive melodies will just give you shivers. Actually, this album remember me the firsts Dream Theater, maybe not musically but for its spirit that is a bit insouciant and that only smell originality and in any case money.

The songs are long very technical but not boring and really catchy, actually I don't have this feeling of elitism that we can find a lot of time with the Progressive combos. Oki this is technical and complex but all the songs are easy of access and it's not so hard to have a lot of good feelings when you listen to "Shape" because the musicians are all really good and the magical voice of the singer is really surprising. The guitars solos and the riffs for example are really good but the most impressive part of the music comes from the Piano that gives some classical like some really progressive or jazzy aspects to the music that are incredibly good.

With a perfect production, this album will be without any doubts in the top list of the best releases of Progressive Metal of the year. I just discovered this band through this album but I'm sure of one thing, I will keep an eye on them now because when I see the level of their second album, I know and I'm sure that Dynamic Lights will be soon one of the leaders of the scene. Then if, like me, you're a fan of this kind of music, I have just one thing to say, "Shape" is highly recommended for you.
