Euronymous - Might Be Honored By Norwegian Airline
According to The Guardian, a Norwegian airline is extremely close to using legendary black metal musician Euronymous (Øystein Aarseth) on the tail fins of one of their jumbo jet planes.
To celebrate its 10th anniversary, the carrier is asking passengers to vote on a new set of heroes for their aircraft's tailfins. Voters can take part by voting for which ever notable Norwegian figure they like - as long as they are dead - and the one with biggest boost will get to adorn the extremities of an aircraft in the fleet of Norwegian Airlines. You can place your votes here. Euronymous was killed by his bandmate Varg Vikernes in August 1993.
After being put forward by a local nominating committee, the Mayhem co-founder has collected the highest share of votes, leading over Trond André Bolle, a soldier who died in 2010, and the Lutheran reformist Hans Nielsen Hauge. The contest closes today, March 28th.

Also, if you cast a vote on a list you cannot do the same on the others, thus vote wisely. It's a pitty I didn't know about Valfar, I would''ve voted for him as well.

I read a bit about Euronymous' ideology, it seems aside from the music he was quite fucked up. He wanted, together with Varg, to blow up Nidaros Cathedral in Trondheim which imo is one of the most beautiful buildings on earth, but then again I mostly voted him for the lulz.

I remember sometime ago there was also a similar vote about picking the most iconic figure of Suffolk. And Dani Filth was an option.
