I've wondered for a while now what songs have the fastest blast beats out there and since there isn't a thread about it I thought i'd make one . I've came across some really blistering blasts in Grindcore/Black Metal and I would love to hear what you guys have heard which can contend to be the fastest. A couple of ones I've came across are:

Cattle Decapitation - Regret & The Grave (0:43, 2:10 and 4:15) -- Note: Not to sure if this is an actual blast beat since I can't hear any ride/crash. Must be my ears though


Infernal War - Spill The Dirty Blood Of Jesus @ 320+ bpm


Feel free to share any, would love to hear the fastest blast beats you guys - or gals - have heard.

Should have stated the part where it went that fast, apologies. I'll check that vid since it wasn't working.

As for the song in the above video, that's some pretty intense blasting. Shame the vocalist doesn't do much justice imo.

For actual drummers, John Longstreth's gravity blasts in Origin probably take the cake. Otherwise, how can I not say Agoraphobic Nosebleed!

Uhhh A lot of people.

Just because you don't like it, doesn't mean other people don't.

Of course speed isn't the be all end all. Just like any other aspect of music it's all about the context in which the technique is used and whether or not it effectively accomplishes the goals of the song and a reaction in the listener. So no, speed isn't everything, but speculating on who's fastest is fun!

Ashamed to say this is the only song I've paid any attention to
So much music, so little time......

For me, it would have to be "Massacre" by The Berzerker.

Yeah, I know they use a drum machine, but I don't care.

Agree with Cattle Decapitation. Also would add: Abnormality, Hour Of Penance, Mumakil, and Origin. And hell, the new Dying Fetus is pretty damn fast, too.
