Tristania - Announce New Album Title, Cover And Date
Gothic metallers Tristania have announced that their 7th album is entitled Darkest White. The record will be released via Napalm Records on May 31st and the artwork is already available for your viewing pleasure below.
Darkest White is produced and mixed by Christer André Cederberg, while the artwork was painted by artist Eliran Kantor (Testament, Sodom, Hatebreed). You can also listen to the first album trailer previously released by the band below.
Ole Vistnes comments: "With Darkest White we have dug deeper, searched wider and reached higher to create the most musically challenging and emotionally involving album we possibly could. Like all Tristania albums, I feel this one is detached from musical rules and genre expectations, and perfectly represents the musical freedom that I so much love about Tristania. During the writing and recording of the album we worked hard to create the album we had in our minds, but we were also careful to let the songs live a life on their own. We didn't set out to make the album technically outstanding or theoretically perfect, but we followed our hearts in all parts of the writing and production. I'm proud of Darkest White, mostly because of the uncompromising honesty and attitude that saturated everything from the songwriting and recording to the mix."

This is shit .... so bpring, band has realised only 1 good album widow weeds and self titled EP, rest are shit .... this song I switch it of after 30 secs... boring

The only album that I dislike from Tristania is Ashes. All others are really great and different. You can discuss whether its metal or not, but songwriting and especially vocal lines are always in high standarts. I liked Rubicon a lot and I am hoping this to be even better. And the cover art was unexpected. Probably the best in their career.
