Dying Fetus, a great Death Metal band, with many great albums, and even more great songs and riffs, i would like to know from you guys what you like the most about this band, what are some of your favorite songs by them, your favorite album by them, and other things you like about this band, and if you guys also have any criticism please share.

Dying Fetus is in my top 5 favorite death metal bands. Kevin Talley is an amazing drummer, especially with his work in Grotesque Impalement. I'd go as far as saying that EP is the best death metal release ever.

Plus the vocalist sounds like a monster, which is an added bonus.

Absolutely love the band, the guitaring is just amazing. Favourite album would probably be Stop At Nothing with my favourite songs being One Shot, One Kill and Stop At Nothing.

Dying Fetus Kicks ass. When my band gets together, i'm definately going to play a bunch of songs from them. One shot one kill & Born In Sodom are one of my favourite songs.

I can also play One Shot, One Kill and i can also play Grotesque Impalement, Streaks Of Blood, and also Kill Your Mother, Rape Your Dog.

their stuff is so diffrent to play the riffs sounds so awsome and its so fun to play on guitar, my and my band can jam to a few Dying Fetus songs.

Love the opening for Raped on the Alter, Streaks of Blood is great, as well as Fuck the Weak lots of good stuff old stuff is crazy as hell.

When i finally learn to play guitar ill wanna learn One Shot, One Kill straight away

always loved crossover genres ... and this band gave me a mix of death metal and grind core ... with an amazing drummer , kevin tally .. they totally kick ass...love their album destroy the opposition

Dying Fetus are amazing. One of the first songs I heard by them was tearing inside the womb, a fave has to be Killing On Adrenaline. I love their logo, the bland, bold one. "DYING FETUS" lol awsome. the other logo is.. ok

When my drummer came over last sat we were playing Pissing In the Mainstream awesome fucking song I'll be putting some effort into getting it down 100% or closest to it.Crazy ass sweeping and blastbeats from the begining love it.

Although im more into black metal, Dying Fetus is just one of those bands that makes me want to pick up an axe. It took me ages to find a copy of Stop At Nothing, but it was worth the effort and have a copy ripped onto both my pcs as well for the full Dying Fetus-Stop At Nothing experience
What would you guys say is the closest band sound-wise to Dying Fetus?

Dying Fetus will enter the studio next month to begin recording their new album. The group will enter Hit & Run Studios in Rockville, MD in mid-September to commence tracking. According to the band, "We look forward to getting back into the swing of things." No word on a release date for the album.

A new album title hasn't been announced yet.

"We are pleased to announce that we will be heading into the studio to record the long anticapted follow up to "Stop At Nothing". Dying Fetus are amazing,I never really used to be That into them before but I started listening to them more and starting liking them more.I really like the song Grotesque impalement,probably my all time fave from them.

Dying Fetus is such a great death metal band superb drumming, awsone riffs, and great vocals. My favorite album is either Stop at Nothing or Destroy the Oppostion but my favorite song by them is definently Born in Sodom. Dying Fetus is also one of the bands that I need to see live I wish I could go to the show they're playign with Cannibal Corpse and Necrophagist but I have no way of getting there.

Yea im going to see that show for sure, that show will be a must see, its going to be amazing, every band is gonna put on a amazing show. And they are unique with their drummer style, if you listen to anything off of the new album "Stop At Nothing" the drumming on that is very diffrent and adds a new sound and makes parts of the song stand out that normally wouldent and makes it diffrent and sounds so well they are probally one of my favorite bands or my favorite they never get any worse on any album they get better and better every album.

Finally figured out that Vengence Unleased is the name of the song with the awesome riff song is fucking awesome, also correct me if i'm wrong but I hear that Dying Fetus has lost their drummer I hope that this does not alter the tour schedule but no one ever no's. Let me know if anyone finds out anything else about the subject. Thanks in advance.

Hmm, did this happened recently? Because I know they have found a new drummer in May, but I haven't heard something anywhere about a recent drummer-loss (yet)...

Anyway here's the official statement from Thursday, May 25, 2006 :
"It's been a long year of searching, but we wanted to move forward in the certainty of having the right person for the group. Duane joins Mike Kimball, guitar, Sean Beasley, bass and vocals, and original member John Gallagher, guitar and vocals, to complete our 4-piece lineup. The band were already friends with Duane, and even toured with him when he played drums for Divine Empire, who supported Dying fetus on our 2003 summer headlining tour. Duane submitted an impressive video audition as well as auditioning in person the weekend of May 13, and has demonstrated to us that he has the skills and dedication we were looking for! We want to thank everyone who auditioned or contacted us about the spot - we appreciate your consideration, talent, and hard work. We will announce further details about our recording and touring schedule soon. Keep checking back for recording dates in mid-summer and tour dates in late winter of this year."

I dont think it will interfere with their tour, becuase if worse comes to worse, the Necrophagist and Cannibal Corpse drummers could easily fill in, or just get a touring drummer, and they announced the tour dates not to long ago, so i dont think they would cancel it this early, and if it does get cancelled then im gonna be one pissed of Dying Fetus fan, along with the other 1000s that didint get to see them on the tour, but hopefully it wont happen, in the name of fetus

lol I don't think the Cannibal Corpse drummer is good enough to play with Dying Fetus. I'm pretty sure they still have the same drummer that they just got this year though.

Why wouldent the Cannibal Corpse drummer be able to hadle it? He just learns the parts to the song its not like hes making the riffs, with practice he will be able to so it, and besides the Necrophagist drummer will be able to cover for Kevin Talley (dying Fetus drummer) without a dought.

Paul's drumming is far too simple compared with Kevin Talley's work. Paul usually just hits the single bass drum and the snare repeatedly. Who knows, maybe he could.

It doesn't matter though because Dying Fetus already has a drummer and if he dropped out it would be announced already.

So didn't mean to set off any alarms I hope to see them soon.
