After a long silence, Greek black metallers Astarte will enter the studio to record their sixth full-length album Blackdemonium for a 2014 release. The new opus will contain "9 or 10 tracks of black/death metal music with some thrash influences," according to the band. The cover artwork will be designed by Maggot Meister and will be revealed later. This is the first new material from the group since Demonized (2007).

Maggot Meister has already created several cover artworks, logos and merch designs for bands like Master, Hirax, Children Of Bodom, 1349, Amon Amarth, etc.

Astarte was the self-proclaimed first all-female black metal band with an official album worldwide, their debut Doomed Dark Years.
