These guys are one of the more unique power/heavy metal bands out there. They come from Canada, and have two vocalists, both of which are fairly shrill, but still bad ass. They have taught us that Axes of Evil makes our fate wrapped in Steel. Any other fans here?

lol this band plays about once a week over here, but I have yet to see them. My friend burned me their album about 2 1/2 years ago or so and I thought it was alright, but I haven't listened to them in about a year. Their new album is coming out soon (if I'm thinking correctly), but I doubt I will buy it.

They're pretty good live, I've seen live footage of them and they don't dissapoint. The number of Plastic swords in the crowd is Fenominal

Like Pyroleprechaun I got this band long time ago, and when I saw the name I thought it is some brutal death metal or grind core lol After first listening I didn't like it much but after every new it was better and better. I haven't listen to Advance And Vanquish for a very long time, but some songs are still in my mind. I like vocals of both vocalists but after some time they start to annoy me with their clean/scream/growl changes. Guitar riffs are also awesome, and production is also excellent, I can't ask for anything else. Few mounths ago I got their video for Deadly Sinners and it is also quite ok, very interesting band : )

Yeah they actually had an album released before they released advance and Vanquish called "Battle Cry Under a winter sun" I havn't had the pleasure to hear it, but that's origionally where the song "Destroy the orcs" Came from. The newer album will be called "Fire up the Blades." I origionally got into them in like 2003 or 2004. But I never remembered to remind myself to start this thread.

Four words: Balls. To. The. Wall.

That's how they were described to me before I heard them. It fits perfectly! I've missed 2 opportunities to see them live so hopefully they'll come back to my city again and I can finally experience it first-hand. I've gotta pick up one of the albums, though. It looks like they're all pretty good?

You know what, that is one of the best descriptions of 3IOB I've ever heard. I've never had an oppourtunity to see them live, because they mostly stay in canada or along the east and west coasts of the US. I know they play in washington all the time, I wish they would come to the F***ing midwest!!!!! bastards.

And in reference to your questioning the quality of your albums, THEY KICK ASS!
But that's just my oppinion

Very ass-kicking band...getting signed to Roadrunner scares me (as it does with Megadeth) but hey...

and come on...the clean vocalist's name is Cam Pipes..."PIPES"... that's awesome

They're playing 2 shows today at Hell's Kitchen, but I don't feel like driving down to Tacoma to see them. They seem to always play that venue, unfortunately, but I hear that there's always a flood of stage divers when they play, so I'm tempted to go...

When I first heard them [through music video], i took them as a joke........but about a year later, i really started to just listen to them....... They are pretty cool, cheesy, but cool. They have the ability to attract metalcore kids annnnnnd true metal fans at the same time. Their new album came out today or yesterday (i'll be sure to buy it when i go away on vacation), and i hear they're touring Ozzfest , hopefully they'll show those posers what real metal is. hail!

This guy in hot topic (annoying little bugger) told me they sounded like Maiden but heavier ( a stupid comment). They sounded like an annoying rip off of Judas Priest, but once I got past their gay little harsh vocals, I took them a little more serious, despite their cheese these guys aren't bad. They are however gaining more of a reputation than they deserve but all in all not bad.

The new album is pretty good. I have yet to buy it, but I streamed the whole thing on mp3.com two weeks ago. I prefer Advance and Vanquish, but Fire Up the Blades did not disappoint me at all. The vocals are a little less shrill, but the riffing is ridiculously catchy and most of the songs are strong. The closing instrumental was probably my favorite part!

Quite a fun band. I think their new single is very good, and everything before that is very entertaining. A band singing about the greatness of Metal, what more could you want? Very thrashtastic. Will be seeing them at the end of July, should be fun.

I heard some new songs, and I don't like them at all. When I heard first song and riff, Ride Darkhorse Ride, I was like hell yeah, and I thought this is gonna be great album, but everything after that was somewhat dissapointing for me, maybe I expected to much or something totaly different. Anyway, some friends liked the album, I hope other fans will like it, what is very likely seans I read great and positive reviews. What I minded to this album? The great vocal duo from first album is totaly annoying for me on second, I probably got bad opinion, but the long haired guy sounded like deseased King Diamond in few moments and the other growl guy have done quite good job but sometimes he sound like Corpsegrinder..
Riffs are like before and one song remarkably reminds me on one old song, I can say that riffs are the same, vocals are also very similar. Production is quite good, altough, I listened to promo CD I got for my zine, and usualy full versions have better sound. For me mediocre, rather uninteresting album, but I am sure a lot of people are going to like it

Yeah I've heard of these guys...it's like NWOBHM with harsh vocals...I think they're sound is really dated musically but they bring new things to the table vocally...I dunno...they're pretty mediocre...I think the whole trying to reinvent NWOHBM is dated in itself...

They might have a NWOBHM feel to them, but I would honestly say they are more along the lines of extreme power metal, if you look at the lyrics. Plus their overall sound is really more powery (even though sometimes power and traditional heavy metal walk a fine line)

My band opened for these guys in like 06 with A Javelin Reign (also from Vancouver) and they were fucking awesome. Every member of the band was really cool and hung out with us after the show. They were also extremely loud and heavy.
