Now the melodic approaches become a little raw, the blast-beats are all over the place and the crushing execution melts your brain-cells like fire melting butter?the balance is still present as well, the melodious undertones began to fade with "Opus Nocturne" but we can still hear a couple of them here and there.
No this is not rawer than hell, this is Black Metal with catchy riffs, this album is digestible and hostile at the same time. I've never been a fan of albums like "Panzer Division Marduk" or albums with utterly fast music that makes noise digestible, I actually prefer this kind of music, brutal in the core but with easy to bare fudge.
So, what makes this album so special? The songwriting is better than before, each song has a great moment to remember, the songwriting makes each song incredibly sticky, you'll be head-banging like a freak for the entire length, and let's not even talk about moshing when hearing the song live, it's just the most insane experience ever.
This is another re-issue by Regain Records, as you already know they add really good bonus features, you'll get live tracks, a great layout and the original cover, it's just a very good edition of this album. You can't lose with a band like this one, it's just a classic name with a classic album with a very long future ahead, buy this one, you won't be fooled at all.
