Not sure what thy were thinking with the song "Morphos of Degeneration" - the ones before that were really strong, but that track just never gets into any kind of enjoyable rhythm

In all honesty I didn't expect to enjoy this album as much as I did, aside from the (Imho) poor quality production of course. The riffs are tremendous and I'm really digging the guitar tone. So it's definitely more melodic than I expected too, despite also being dissonant, it's not regular death metal but something more blackened, hard to pinpoint exactly what it is. The RW cover was a nice welcome surprise too.

Yeah it's one of those 6 - 7 range albums. Sucks since those are some of the most disappointing listens, because as numerous people have said in the past, those are the types of albums that most make you feel like "this is OK, but it could have been so much better."

Songwriting sounds really First Wave Black Metal to me, like almost a Blackened Thrash type sound, actually. Parts of this reminded me a lot of Goatwhore, for instance
