I see no one has mentioned Black Shape Of Nexus. Absolutely crushing, utterly riff-based sludge (except the Microbarome Meetings album which is pure drone) from Germany. They have a couple of releases available for download on their website, especially the Live in Mannheim tape is devastating. I've given a shot to pretty much their whole discography and you can't go wrong with these guys.

This is a track off a very cool release in 2010. The band is labeled hardcore, crust, post-rock and sludge. I agree 100%.
Download ENTIRE discography for FREE on their website:

Awful name, but those russians aren't bad at all Made me think of 65DaysOfStatic with the electronica touches.
Has someone commented about Woburn House? If not I'm quite surprised. I really dig these guys. Post metal with a few psychedelic passages here and there with solid riffs. Also... They are responsible for two of my favorite samples in metal:

Teamster, I'll be surprised if you don't dig this:

Can you say "Awesome artwork"?

This is probably my favorite song of theirs atm. I just love dark bass intros... and the sample is probably one of my top 10 (from the movie Network)

Has someone commented about Woburn House?

I don't think so, maybe IronAngel, I'd have to go through the thread. Anyways, nice rec Doc. These clips sound good. I'll have to check em out.

I mentioned these guys last year but I don't know if I posted a sample. I suppose they are post-hardcore but don't let that scare you. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Post hardcore/sludge super-group from California. Awesome riffs and melodies on shorter songs. Very fun to listen to. Reminds me of City Of Ships and Steak Number Eight.
