I already have quite a few albums to look forward to in 2016, so I figured we'd go ahead and get this thread started. The two so far are the upcoming Ctheilist and Lycus albums. Ctheilist embody all that is great with strange Lovecraftian death metal, while Lycus are an incredibly solid funeral doom outfit.

Members of desolate shrine teaming up with dark Buddha rising members. Really, the least expected collaboration I could imagine. They have posted a teaser, which is of course great.

There had been new Muscle and Marrow album and no one cared in case you are not familiar with them: female fronted drone/ experimental doom:

Muscle and Marrow-Love

Also, new Wreck and Reference on the way. Gives me a certain Netra vibe, but definitely is not as good.

Wreck and Reference -Indifferent Rivers Romance End

Lovely cover:

Edit: there is a new Kayra single, which is as brilian as it can get. Cannot wait for a full lenght album from this guy:

kayra

Really don't know what this is. psychedelic, krautrocky metal (?) or something. And yeah, nice female vocals.

also, you might like this if you like virus:

Countless Skies' debut album New Dawn is out through Kolony, and the genre shouldn't be a mystery to anyone. Derivative, but at least the clean vocals stand out from many of their better known peers. The writing might actually be better than on the latest Omnium Gatherum record, and that fact sends them into the stack of promising young bands.
