Stop and pay attention! Nothing is normal here. I mean, it sounds like any Incantation's album but you'll listen weird and different riffs, unusual drums dynamics and noisy-agonic-guttural vocals. All framed in a raw production bringing darkness to the sound.

Wtf? Just listen to that blast beat in Nexus of the Black Flame at 02:19...
In Visceral Strike they brings speed metal stuff? Haha, maybe that's the main idea.
...and... Passage to Eternity is one of the best instrumental interlude I ever listen.

Edit: after several listens I realize that the riffs are thrash metal like Possessed and Dark Angel, but in a black/death metal context.
Edit 2: this album becomes a 10 for me

My ears have to work overtime listening to this, it's such an incredibly dense and brutal onslaught. It has many twists and turns throughout each track, riff after riff, crazy complex drumming, and menacing growls.

The transition from "Visceral Strike" to "Passage to Eternity" is definitely the highlight of the album for me.

The last part of the album, starting with the end of Visceral Strike all the way through to the end, is the best part of this. Nothing really bad to say about the album, it's great for what it is, which is a cacophony of chaos. Due to it's blazing pace and dense chaotic construction, the first half of the album didn't really grab me much so for that reason, for me, it's a 7, and it would have inched closer to 6 had it not been for the enjoyable ending of the album.
