Another interesting metal opera is going to be released tomorrow (3th or March) !!! It's Timo Tolkki's side project called Saana and the album Warrior Of Light Part 1 : Journey to Crystal Island. Tolkki is operating all instruments except drums and there is a couple of talented vocalists participated on singing

At least this project has been well promoted in the media here. Someone stole the master tape and it leaked. Now it's only rather questionable, whether Tolkki has insisted on a police investigation about that or not. Some people think it was just a media trick that the tape leaked... Anyway, haven't heard any of the songs.

I have never seen a band or person need to get their act together as much as Timo Tolkki and Stratovarius. I can only assume this project is going to be awful, because nothing special has come out of Tolkki's mind for a long time. I really don't think he should release this album, at least not yet anyway, he should wait until he has something credible under his belt again before pulling out such a risk of a release...

Even idea of it is good, titles are good and epic but Im not shore I will like music, because after last Freedolm Call I give up whit new powr metal albums

I dont listen modern thrash, I like only old school metal, enclooding old school power

so i have listened to Warrior Of Light and i have to say, i am not impressed that much as i thought i will be...not bad music, but except "The Letter" no really extraordinary songs - at least after first listening
