Not gonna lie: The thing that made me buy this vinyl (as well as the project's debut) was the Beksinski painting. Seeing that it only consisted of one track of 29 minutes also helped a lot. Elements from the debut, with its raw black metal sound mixed with minor psychedelic influences, are still present. but this is an entirely different beast with an entirely different agenda. The heavenly gaelic female vocals in the beginning already set the tone. At least half of this album is not metal at all. But damn, it does feel black metal in spirit. I wished I discovered this album sooner. Might probably review it when I find the time. I can understand if some people think the transitions are not that smooth but the variation of styles is still pretty fucking cool. Can't name any other black metal band that make me think of Dead Can Dance. Major improvement from the debut album. It has been 4 years now (although it was 8 years between the debut and this one). Wonder when Satyrign will drop a new one.
