Well, I guess Vader would have to be the one that I've overplayed to death. I got hooked on their "Revelations" album and when I went to Poland that just heightened the matter, till one day I didn't listen to them as much. But they tend to change from album to album and I guess that's what keeps them alive for me and "Impressions In Blood" renewed themselves to me. But I always found it hard to get into a Vader album but once I did I couldn't let go. It's an aquired taste I guess, kinda like a new/different beer

In all honesty, I am surprised I have not over played Dream Theater. I listen to them far more than any other band. It might have to do with the fact that I have over four days of Dream Theater music, and there is so much variety, it doesn't get old. Besides Scar Symmetry, Sonata Arctica, Symphony X (who I now can not stand to listen to), Iron Maiden, early Killswitch Engage, and The Urban Sophisticates are the ones who I have worn out.

I sort of go through genre-based phases rather than playing out a band. Nevermore & Evergrey Virgin Black, My Dying Bride, Draconian, Swallow the Sun Behemoth, Hypocrisy Nocturnal Rites, Twilightning It all depends. I don't think I've ever played a band out.

I guess thats Children of Bodom for me. I overplayed then and then I got sick of it. Oh and then I discovered other things that gave me a new perspective.

Hm id have to say Lamb Of God.At the time I liked them a lot i played them over and over until the point where i got sick of them. So now I will hardly ever listen to them and when i do I can't really see why i liked them that much in the first place

Hmmm, Norther. So now i'm listening to Kalmah to break the Norther monotony, which was initially started 'cause i overplayed Children of Bodom.

I think I might have done that with Nightwish, but now I'm into their music again, just as much as I was before. Around the time when I was just getting into metal, I listened to their music a lot, and the same songs too. Then I thought they were over-rated and stopped listening for a while. I probably did the same with Rammstein, but I don't like them as much now. That's one of the reasons why I'm careful never to play out any band. Besides, I usually get bored when I listen to the same band for too long unless it's one that I really like and not the same songs over and over.

though they arent metal, i refuse to listen to Kottonmouth Kings. i listened to them allllll of last summer while high and since i dont smoke as much anymore i cant STAND their music. metal-wise, ive played out Metallica. i cant listen to them without thinking how much better and more true to the genre Megadeth is (even though megadeth is now "dave mustaine and friends")

I did that with In Flames RTR album and with Children of Bodom. I still enjoy both, but when I'm looking for something to put on I always skip over them now.

I was really getting tired of In flames music, so I gave it a long rest in over a year. I have recently started to appricate their music again. A band I have defiently have played out though is Epica. No matter how many times I listen, I can't seem to get into their music anymore. We will se after some years though, perhaps it will return.

sepulutra is one of the band that I so believe in but when max come out and went to soulfly and the genre was changed and that was too bad , at last I think sepulutra now have a different genre and now I can't heard to their songs

I wouldn't say I've played out any bands recently, only a few albums. Dimmu Borgir- Death Cult Armageddon, and In Sorte Diaboli Slayer- The Christ Illusion, and Decade of Aggression Children of Bodom- Follow the Reaper They're great albums I just need a break from them is all. And back a few years ago I was WAY into Slipknot and I listened to Volume Three way more than anyone ever should and now I never listen to them at all.

Never bands in general, just genres. Well, its more of a mood I guess. I get listening to black metal and I don't bother buying or looking up anything with death metal. Then I'll remember death metal and go crawling back to "None So Vile". There are times when I just listen to straight soft stuff though too or more progressive bands. There was even one week when I listened to old King Crimson. I always get right back into black metal though because it's my favorite genre! Opeth would be a band that I think I would be tired of, but I'm not!!! Being one of my favorite bands, I've never stopped listening to them!!! In the future I want to have two projects or more: a progressive black metal band and a primitive, ugly black metal thing (maybe just one album?).
