Perhaps this is just my opinion, but the MOST blasphemous band would have to be a band that is at least a bit known. Who is protesting Wormphlegm (which I had not even heard of before this thread)? Nobody... and that pretty much resolves things. Sure they seem to have some..uh, uh, abstract lyrics, man, but that doesn't mean they're the most blasphemous.

I think about bands that have caused actual ''problems'' in reality. Even though they were still young and stuff, they acted out what they believed in.

Also, you have to separate what one individual says ''blasphemous'' is and what society in general thinks of it. On that bigger level, people in Norway wouldn't be concerned with Hellsemen because they don't know them, but they know the ''big dogs'' like Mayhem and Gorgoroth and the problems they've caused.

Still, it's hard for me to give Gaagl's lyrics and concepts a "shamanist" read, instead of a straight-forward satanist one (not the kiññ the christians shit but satanist still). Anyway, there are many cases in which people who adopt such different philosophies as nietzscheism, nihilism or even "tolkienism" and try to make it compatible with satanism. Some time ago I heard a band in myspace that by one side talked about satan and on the other hand their songs had intros from the MOVIE LOTR
