I recently checked out the new version of BMR and I have to say I'm a bit disappointed they have some cool new things but I liked the simplicity of the site before but mainly they had way better music on the old version and since they only have a few episodes I'm suprised they deleted the old one's I just find it a waste to make episodes and throw them away like old garbage. But change is inevitable I guess.

To answer Scarrowed Muse's question - Graveland. Everything I've heard from and about them has been really good, and they seem to be regarded as one of the better NSBM bands out there. Keep in mind that my exposure to the genre is very limited, though.

If you talking about polish band Graveland from Wrocla then I dont agree, its not NSBM, its pagan, BM in begining maybe, ist anti cristainity, but not ns, maybe whit some elemnts, but you shood hear Robert solo project Lord Wind, its medieval

Ahh, fair enough. Like I said, I'm no expert (at all ) on NSBM. Still, I think they're work checking out, tenuous though their link to the style may be.

I think National Socialism (in the Germanic/Scandinavian aspect) mixes well with pagan/heathen characteristics considering the symbols used by the Nazi's. Some groups have mixed this element, which I personally think gives the idealism some more meaning and value, as opposed to it solely being about caucasians (except Jews,) being superior to all other ethnicities because that seems to be more of a redneck Klu Klux Klan mentality, which lacks all depth whatsoever.

Good point and i agree bout Graveland its lil bit national socialism but i hawnt red so deep them lyrics and i can not tell
you say good about germans and Scandinavia, but what about slavs its intresting whit slavs, polish, ukarians, rusisans and in other hand yugoslavs(croats, serbs) thay use nazi symbols but not ito music also BMR plays Nocturnal Mortum and its NS BM band, but National socialism mix whit slavianism, old traditions and something what is hard to understand if you hawe no conctac whit slavic people

I ended up using Stream Ripper and found a broadcast that was dedicated to NSBM, so I have obtained a bunch of differant artists. Although I am not surprised but thus far it seems that NSBM is generally poor quality, it makes Darkthrone sound like high quality (don't get me wrong I love Darkthrones sound in every aspect.) As it seems to be just like Nazi punk music, poor quality and untalented. I haven't listened to very much of Graveland but I've got a bunch of their stuff, so I'll see how that is, and if they are more pagan based then that's cool because straight up white supremacy is bland and futile.

K7: Well there are neo-nazi's all over the world, unfortunately I think most of them are fairly stupid and have the wrong ideals and their means and reasons of being "Nazi's" gets nothing accomplished, hell even Hitler only got so far before the Third Reich was destroyed. I'd say the other nations you mentioned would be welcommed to a degree, because the Italians were part of the Nazi party, although the Polish is going to be very very tricky lol because in WW2 that seems to be a large focal point of Jewish slaughter. I believe the way things generally work is the Aryan race (something I find to be slightly off since it is originally an Indonesian term) was worked into being the eldest people of the Germanic tribes in Europe, these Germanic tribes eventually spread out to form differant parts of Europe (I believe the Romans had a hand in this, one way or another.) So predominantly it appears that northern Europe and Scandinavian as a whole are suppose to be a modernization of the Aryan race, I actually kind of think on a personal perspective that perhaps Scandinavia is the purest, more so than Germany.

@Scarrowed Muse - NS in poor quality I agree, its because thay ha sno money and thay recordet all in underground studios and whit band technique and lil bit better quality are in Poland, because there are werry cheep qood quality studios, i can sy cheeper in Nordic Europe, or maybe in all Europe

@Paganblood; its a website online that supplies you with streaming audio.. You can make requests and stuff and it has episodes in it where you can listen to different bands playing (rather like channels).. Just go to http://www.blackmetalradio.com/ and you can get it..

I think that the older version was better... anyways kariasakis you should try presing f11 for a better view....

odd. i've never had issue with the new format.

Well I tried yesterday. I have a feeling it could be due to my firewall..

There seems to be a lot of really crap black metal on there now... and too much death metal... although I don't have a problem with that Pleasure To Kill cover that's on the current episode. Awesome.

I tried it a few days back, an excellent site it is! The site's presentation is very attractive (I mean in the 'black metal' and 'chilling' sense), animated.

It used to be a lot better before actually. Nothing seems to work. Nothing ever played it was either buffering or not doing anything. I think it might be ZoneAlarm's fault though. It either blocks something or slows it down considerably. The perils of too much security..

So I am not the only one having this problem? It is just weird. Sometimes I skip to another song and it just stops playing.. A shame, since it is one of the few online radio's streaming at my school.

So this problem in there as well? Same here (except for broadband connection, which is very costly)

@ Paganblood: yeah, here also has problem. My connection (ADSL) is broadband but not of the good ones, and the technological services here is very poor. Anyways problems of internet in general and in streaming in particular are regularly common here;D

I think they archive them. You get 10 episodes for free, the rest are most likely available for paying members.
