Triarchy Of The Lost Lovers is the first album in which Rotting Christ decided to pour hefty doses of gothic metal into their sound. It baffled the fans at the time, but today this dark metal masterpiece is considered a classic and quite rightly so.

Definitely not bad, but cannot be compared to some of their other albums. So it is imo overrated! "king of a stellar war", "archon", "snowing still" and "diastric alchemy" made good impression in me, the rest of the album just passed...

Pretty good, if a bit monotonous.

This is actually the first time I listen to this album in full. Really loved the tone of the guitars. I'm getting some Paradise Lost vibes but with a clearly darker black metal filter. Really catchy album and the mournful melodies are truly inspiring.

Indeed what a lovely guitar tone, as well as in their other releases. Snowing Still is such a good song!

"The First Field of the Battle" reminds me Opeth quite a lot

I'm getting some Paradise Lost vibes

Funny you mention that, because I am listening to this album at YouTube and getting a lot of Paradise Lost recommendations in the right feed

Because of this article, I've started listening to their first album (Thy Mighty Contract), and I found it really enjoyable!

Given the fact that our taste in music is very similar, I expect that you are going to enjoy most of their discography. I am happy this article made you check them out, it means it served its purpose.

I'm finally listening to more of their discography. This album here is fantastic stuff! Great melodic and catchy riffs at a soothing, entrancing pace
