I see no one has mentioned Black Shape Of Nexus. Absolutely crushing, utterly riff-based sludge (except the Microbarome Meetings album which is pure drone) from Germany. They have a couple of releases available for download on their website, especially the Live in Mannheim tape is devastating. I've given a shot to pretty much their whole discography and you can't go wrong with these guys.

Haha, first I've ever heard of them. Definitely sounds good. Lots of massive soundscapes and layers going on from skimming over that album.

Nice. They are obviously from the UK and have been mentioned as one of the best post metal bands to come from the UK...and it's the first time I've heard them. Their latest album is stunning.

In that case I'll keep an eye out for them on the chance they tour toward my end of the country. Cheers for the heads up!

You're assuming I know them, but I don't . I am not really sure I'll like it. Post-rock/shoegaze is not really my thing. I've actually just started listening to that Fjort thing by the way. I'll keep you informed.

Listen to it anyways! You may dig it. As for the Fjorn record, it's a neat little post hardcore album with just enough "post" elements to hold my interest. I am very picky when it comes to post hardcore; the childish screaming and clean vox just rub me the wrong way - it has to be bearable.

Amia Venera Landscape are EXACTLY what I look for in post-HC...

Hmmm. I got mixed up earlier and typed Fjorn. But then corrected it to Fjort, and now you typed Fjorn. It is that album named D'accord you want me to listen to, right?

Post-hardcore, okay. I am very picky about vocals as well, in general. But we already talked about how annoying I am with that. Weirdly I can stand emo cleans, love hardcore screams, but still not screamo/powerviolence stuff.

Both Fjort and Amia Blabla, I spotted in your lists and wrote them down for a future listen, like two months ago. Finally getting around to it feels almost like an accomplishment.

Haha yeah I always fuck up band names when I'm too lazy to check the correct spelling. Sometimes I'm more creative than that.

Yeah I listened to that new song when the piece of news was posted. I'm sure I'll just love both the new and previous album.

About Fjort. I'm loving it sor far, really. The vocals are not too bitchy, just the perfect balance between aggression and emotion. I love the fact it's in German for a change. If the album goes on like that, it's something I'll gladly listen to again tomorrow to confirm my very good first impression.
