My favorite has to be from a band I very recently discovered, called Shade Empire. Their track Ravine is one excellent instrumental. Cool piano intro especially.

The Best instrumental BAND ever is certainly Sleep Terror. It associates Death and Jazz to make progressive brutal songs... I found it last week and i'm not bored to listen to it.

Easy, Nightwish's "Ghost Love Score (Instrumental Score)" is by far the best instrumental song, almost as good as the normal one.

Either Apocalyptica´s "Farewell" or their version of Metallica´s "Nothing Else Matters". Both beautiful masterpieces. The cellos make so great sound and at the same time they sound so sad. "Farewell" makes me cry every time.

I thought I already posted here, must've been an "instrumental recommendations" thread, I would have to say In Flames - Man Made God, Symbyosis - Kahl Palyn, Arch Enemy - Stigmata, Marcel Coenen - New Race, Death - Voice Of The Soul and Symbyosis (again) - Synthesis, which are all off the top of my head, after all, there's too many good ones to possibly name that are good
