There best album yet. There are some real killer songs on this. Ritter der Lüfte is my favorite track on it.

I thought the debut was good but it didn't wow me nearly as much as this album has, it's much better than I expected it to be, full of raw emotion, with a great sound, and fantastic riffs. I'd say "Lviv Zu Lemberg" and "Waffenbrüder", and "Ritter Der Lüfte" are particular stand-outs for me.

I thought the debut was top level stuff, but this is even better! Fantastic riffs, blazing leads, super-powerful vocals, and machine-gun drums. Black metal with anthemic choruses, and an all-killer, no-filler album. "Lviv Zu Lemberg" is a candidate for song of the year.

Agreed. I thought the debut was very solid. I didn't quite get the resounding praise it was receiving, but I respected the fan enthusiasm. This one, though...it's ridiculously tuff. Especially the emotional drive of the instrumental performance. It's a massive enhancer.

Man, I thought 1914 were the current reigning kings of WWI metal but Kanonenfieber are quickly overtaking the throne.

It’s not per se beter than its predecessor, but it’s a very solid release that builds upon the first one. Better riff structure and more “anthemic” choruses. A very enjoyable album.

Wow awesome album, even surpasses the debut! I wasn't sure how this was going to compare to my favorite WWI-themed album Kaiserschnitt (even both refer to Verdun), but Kanonenfieber did a fantastic job here, combining both feelings of ferocity and tragedy. Definitely a contender for best black metal album of 2024
