@Stormheart: Damn that's some list you made there. Well just have to start checking some of them out

EDIT: Zonata has made the most power metal song of all time. The lyrics are so cheesy you honestly won't believe it...the song is called 'Gate Of Fear'. If you search for it, it probably has Sonata Arctica as artist. The album is quite good

Well Stormheart has told almost all of the bands similar to Rhapsody, I must say I haven't heard much of these bands, only a few. But, he missed Thy Majestie. I think they are most similar to Rhapsody. Must try them. Star with their last album Joan Of Arc.

Yes, Thy Majestie is the most similar band to Rhapsody, Fairyland is quite similar too

There's a Dragon Guardian now? Makes sense, we have Dragonland and Dragonforce and Blind Guardian, so why not have Dragon Guardian? Now we need a Fairy Force because we have a Dragonland and a Fairyland and a Dragonforce. Any more?

If you're looking for bands that sound like Rhapsody, I think Ancient Bards is mandatory, as it's a rip-off of old Rhapsody, only with female vocals.

And thanks for reminding me of Zonata, I had only heard of a few songs a couple of years after they disbanded and these were brilliant. More the Stratovarius kind of power metal though, to me this is different from the "Hollywood" (lol) metal Rhapsody claimed to be playing.

Fairyland and Dragonland. Both amazing.

Ancient Bards is the latest Rhapsody like band I recently know.

I'm going to bump this thread, because... I want some bands like Rhapsody. Been jamming Dark Moor a lot lately, which is possibly better than anything by Rhapsody.

Gotta love Dark Moor. Especially the older stuff before the new singer. Although I like everything they've done.

It's interesting how they both did similar videos where they just kind of lamed out in a white room.
