I've seen metal drummers using all sorts of techniques like swivel, flat foot, and heel-toe. Derek Roddy himself said that it takes a decade of practice with a technique to get it amazing and that no technique will magically click with you from the start. That being said, how do I find the technique that works for me; do I just practice with a variety of methods for a while until I find what I like or do I just pick one and commit?
