Let's try a little exercise. I'm going to read your mind. Do your best to clear your thoughts; close your eyes, take a deep breath, all that shit. Now read this word: MATHCORE. You were thinking of Dillinger Escape Plan, weren't you? Obviously, this isn't magic. As far as the genre goes, DEP are heavy-weights for a reason. But there is a lesser known, equally talented group from across the pond that arguably share the same penchant for the technical, chaotic, and diverse.

I loved this band in 2003 with their first album, but then for some reason never listened to this one. I've just got round to listening to it in the last weeks and I think it's a fantastic album. Not really like much else...

Oh shit, you waited until now to check it out?!? It's good you finally did because i think this is actually their best release.

This album has a real longevity factor for me, 6 years on & i still listen to it on a semi-regular basis. I wish they would hurry up, reform & release another album for us as they promised though.

!J.O.O.E.!

I've had this on my MP3 player recently and while I still like it it doesn't compare as well to the first album. This one seems somewhat conventional and polished, whereas the debut takes more risks and ultimately becomes a more expansive record. This is good, but it never holds my attention for a full album.

I agree with !J.O.O.E.! Since I knew this band, I've listened to Sikth's first and second albums carefully. In the end, I've come to the conclusion that the first album is superior to their second.

Safer than the first album, for better or worse, but the vocals are hugely less irksome here, so I prefer this one purely due to that, even if the music in general is arguably a bit less impressivwe
