As of late I seem to be having alot of trouble with feedback coming through my amp when I play with distortion through my MetalZone Mt-2. I don't know why I'm getting so much feedback. The type of amp I play through is an Ibanez SoundWave 35 Bass Amp. I want to have everything set up properly anything suggestions and the kind of music I want it set for is Death Metal.

I need to buy an amplifier too and I would like to hear some recommendations, as I'm a bit inexperienced in this department. I'd like it to be 60 watts and in the price range of 400 Eur. Could someone give advice as to what things to take into consideration when buying an amp etc?

I looked for the amp you have, Max, It seemed quite good but maybe I can get some more advice.

Thanks in advance

You'd better try different amps in music stores - because each musician plays his own style (technique). God knows what you want from that stuff. You need to understand what you really need.

Yeah, I agree. I tried amps in stores, but there doesn't seem to be a wide selection of amps around here. Although this time I didn't have any very specific wishes about amplifier, so finding a suitable one wasn't too hard.

Vox amps are the shit. Cheap, reliable, and built in with dirty-old school sounding distortion.

Price doesn't mean anything. For instance, Harley Benton stuff is just a copy of pretty good stuff (Marshal, for instance, or Ibanez). This stuff is cheap, but sounds pretty good, and the prizes always make me laugh.

I agree 100% though I don't know too much about guitar amps in general, I hear the same from other guitarists about brand names just being expensive for the value of the brand name itself.

It's not only about amps, I can tell the same about instruments, effects and e.t.c. For instance, I have some Behringer guitar effects (absolutely all musicians were telling me, that it's a bullshit), but I showed them later, that even "shit" can be used well. Depends on style.

i used to play over my marshall dbs bass amp in combination with an ashdown 8x10 cab, the good ol' big muff as distortion and it was fuckin' dirty.
