Recommend me of songs that you know in heavy metal (preferred) and power metal (acceptable), which would have following characteristic: - Mid-tempo (very preferred), and not fast singing - Emotional: no cheesy feeling, I would prefer sad or like struggling emotion. - Songs-like: Bruce Dickison - Tears Of Dragon (very fond of, it meets what I need, would like to be recommended similar) HammerFall - Glory to The Brave HammerFall - I Believe Manowar - Heart of Steel (perfect music and vocal to the requirement) Dragonland - Forever Walking Alone (its emotion is no doubt, the song just is fast but still acceptable same stuff) Share similar songs and your view. Thanks for the recommendation.

Sad and struggling? Hm, I'd go with just about any doom metal, try Warning's Watching From a Distance... then ask Marcel for more.

Emotional songs in heavy metal? i'm an unofficial expert on this WASP - Take Me Up , The Idol , Into The Fire Judas Priest - Worth Fighting For , Diamonds And Rust (live version, the studio one is quite a lot faster) Halford - Silent Screams , She Black Sabbath - Children of the Sea Accept - Breaking Up Again , Amamos La Vida Queensryche - Breaking The Silence Scorpions - Holiday , We'll Burn The Sky , No One Like You Bathory - One Rode To Asa Bay (i do consider it within the sub-genre heavy metal) Blind Guardian - Lord Of The Rings , Nightfall UDO - Holy , Vendetta Demons And Wizards - Fiddler On The Green (if you like Heart of Steel you'll love this one too) Iced Earth - Watching Over Me , Ghost Of Freedom , A Question Of Heaven Megadeth - A Tout Le Monde

*facepalm* Right, dammit. Meh, I kinda got mixed up because he asked for "sad or struggling" emotion.

Warning is very mid tempo and slow, I would put Warning on my this desirable list as recommended. Only that the Warning vocal somewhat less "tough", more on like "whining" which is not that I want. Btw, can any doomster tell me what are lyric themes of Warning about ? Well, I need "sad-struggling" songs that have a tough feeling in its music wholly, just simply described as mid-tempo with the such genre. Though betterly, if dont mind your time listening to the songs I mention for the seeking of recommendation, especially Tear of Dragon, or 2ndly, Heart Of Steel. It is like for songs orientation-recommending. Some of recommeded of above meets, but just few, keep on ...

12.08.2010 - 05:49 Written by Valentin B on 31.07.2010 at 22:42 You recommend Judas Priest for something like this and don't include "Victim of Changes" or "Beyond the Realms of Death"? I'm certain is was just a momentary lapse. "Diamonds and Rust" is actually a Joan Baez song written about Bob Dylan. Still a great tune.

@Valentine: I disagree on Scorions's No One Like You and We'll Burn The Sky. Nightfall is somewhat not bad to requirement. Bathory - One Road To Asa Bay is very excellent recommendation thanks. @Angelic Storm: how could I not remember Angra, nice recommendation and also unintentional reminding . By the way, do you why they name a song as Lisbon, It is good song with very emotional lyric but why it is "Lisbon" ?

Listen to Deep Cold, by Omnium Gatherum. The ending of that song is some of the most emotional sounding metal I've ever heard.

I would definetely suggest Atlantean Kodex. Great epic heavy/doom metal. Rainbow is a no-brainer. Tarot has an amazing song called Iron Stars, even if the band is generally lackluster. (It should be their own track, though it might be a cover.) Heaven & Hell made a good album, Atom And Evil was especially enjoyable. Astral Doors is a great heavy band, check out Bastard Son or something. On the little doomier side, I'd also recommend Solstice, Candlemass, the first few albums of DoomSword, Las Cruces, While Heaven Wept of course (The Furthest Shore is epic).

29.06.2011 - 14:11 Written by TOUGHEST MEMBER on 31.07.2010 at 20:44 I think it's interesting you mention the same songs that I am inspired of when I write music (except from Dragonland). Sadly I haven't recorded anything yet, but I wish to make a whole album in that kind of music. Other songs I've been inspired of are Dio - Don't talk to strangers Iron Maiden - Revelation Stratovarius - Dream with me

Priest's Beyond The Realms Of Death. It's my favorite song. Iron Maiden's Children Of The Damned is very emotional too.
