In 2009 a certain "all-star" grind band got back together to play what was going to be their last ever show. Lock Up headlined the Damnation Festival in England that year, which turned out to be the push this group needed for a proper revival. With a line up that includes Shane Embury of Napalm Death on bass, Tomas Lindberg of At The Gates on vocals, and the blast machine Nick Barker behind the kit, there was no chance that this band wouldn't be a treat to hear.

This album does this:
A punch to your face, grabs you by the throat, drops you to the ground and pummels you mercilessly till you are broken, bloody and bruised !!!
This is exactly the type of "ass-kicking" album I was waiting for, this year. And it delivers a mighty whallop indeed !!
A little trimming of the excess fat (17 tracks...wow) and I would have actually considered giving this a 10.
But an utterly brilliant album nonetheless !!!

Wow this was a bloody brilliant album. Definitely on par with Hate Breeds Suffering.

I really like this kind of "middle-eastern" touch to some of the riffs. It sounds pretty sinister and on some occasions I was reminded of some of the heavier Behemoth songs.

This is a truly great album, with a great lineup too. It's got an excellent tempo throughout, it's groovy as hell and with phenomenal old school death metal style riffing.
