From the ashes of the unfortunate split of Sanctuary in 1990, Warrel Dane (vocals) and Jim Sheppard (bass) decide to keep the flame burning. After some time Nevermore was born and they started writing new material. In 1995 their untitled debut album saw the light. Nowadays, this release is very overlooked, as most of the Nevermore fans skip this album and start talking about the second album "The Politics Of Ecstasy". Because the aforementioned "Politics.." or "Dead Heart In A Dead World" are such masterpieces this album will probably dwell in their shades forever. This is not completely justified as this release captures a very young and raw Nevermore which is already very interesting to listen to. Read more ›› |

Awesome album, maybe even in my top 3 of them. Depends on how much I like Politics Of Excstacy, that's the only one I haven't heard.

Nice mixing between styles, but what I don't like are lyrics, all that sci fi shit , otherwise good album, gonna go true disco in like when I have mood, well start whit this one

The underrated debut. I would always pick this one for POE and DNB. The 2000s were on another level though. Still no fillers here and especially the first three songs are some of the best material they ever wrote! Faves: What Tomorrow Knows, C.B.F., The Sanity Assassin (best on record), Garden Of Grey, Sea Of Possibilities and The Hurting Words
