I double checked Diablo Swing Orchestra's discography and there's no such album on it.

Just think of it as a client requesting something just good enough to be potentially recognized by metalheads with a decent knowledge of album covers, but not good enough that said metalheads can guess it based on how similar it looks to the original image.

Haha. Trying to speak my language.
My reply to the client would be that in any case, recognising a cover is a lot more likely if you came in contact with it. If you haven't, it being poorly done or well done will not change the outcome of the game. If said metalhead has seen the cover already and is reminded of the name of the band thanks to a very particular detail that I would have drawn while someone else wouldn't have, then yes, that changes things. But since the details that I add are simply stylistic, I don't think it counts .

I mostly just like the ones that are funny looking cause of how bad they are

I actually feel somewhat bad now, like one of those teachers/family members that famous people have to overcome in their emotional life stories. "When Einstein was a kid, everyone thought he was stupid and told him to just give up. and look where he ended up". I'm like that guy who told Einstein he was stupid.

Haha. Very cute story Matt. Nah, I am not a very self-confident person, but I still need a lot more to take it personally.
I just take it as a challenge really. I'm just having fun with those. I had kinda stopped drawing for myself since it became the centre of my studies/job.

I really can stop doing them like that though.

I'm totally not confident when it comes to art-making too, I think lots of people are that way. In all honesty you can make them however you want, it doesn't make much difference to being able to figure them out or not.
