Very good album, however I'm glad they changed their style to thrash.

Kind of weak and repetitive. Production sounds good for 84, it is shame that I can't say same for the song writing.

Considering this was basically the band's debut, and the time, it is a good album. Well, the repetitive style is kind of Sodom trademark.

I actually think Obsessed by Cruelty has a weaker sound. Persecution Mania is my favorite full-length.

It does, I agree. But there are a couple of total bangers on OBC. PM is of course a classic. Only topped by Agent Orange for me.

Hard album to rate. I'd probably give it a 6.5 if I could. A very innovative and unique sound for sure. But at times, too repetitive, simplistic, and poorly executed. Outbreak of Evil and Witching Metal are kind of catchy.

Overall the album is just a bit cringe. It's trying very hard lyrically to be evil, but the sound just doesn't back it up.
