Wow; come 2013, Turisas were poised to go on to bigger and better things, coming off a run of albums that had seen the Finnish band create a reputation for themselves as a folk metal band to keep an eye on. This poorly named album was supposed to be the crowning achievement that their career had built up to. Instead, it has killed all momentum the band had, to the point that, as of time of writing (April 2020), the band has only toured sporadically and not released any new material since. This album reminds me of Queen...This album is good but not great as Battle Metal or The Varangian Way.But i liked this album more than Stand Up and Fight...Strange huh?...

Huh, so I never really checked out these guys. I was mostly curious about this album, strange name, mixed ratings.. To be honest I'm pleasantly surprised, pretty good and enjoyable album, perhaps not being attached to and well acquainted with any of their previous work has set appropriate expectations? Biggest complaint I guess is I'd like a bit more grit on the guitar distortion, y'know? Yearning for more DIRT. And the moaning on track 5.
