I have to wonder how such a shite, unoriginal band I've never heard of that's only got a single album under its belt manages to get itself 200.000 Facebook fans. The world is a strange and mysterious place, and with terrible taste.

Marketing. They're constantly updating their page, linking to other bands, posting Youtube links, and they're really active on Twitter. It's the same reason I follow bands like Allegaeon - has less to do with my personal taste and more to do with what they post.

Never underestimate the power of being an annoyingly prolific social media marketer I guess. I'm tempted to try and do the same thing with an imaginary band with no music and see how many fans I can acquire.
